It's been a couple of years since Calista Flockhart has had to be camera-ready, so it's no surprise that she was dressed in casual, even dowdy, attire for a shopping trip to Barney's Beverly Hills on Friday.

Flockhart, 49, shopped with a friend while disguising her famously slender figure in a pretty black and white printed shift dress, which she topped with an unflattering baggy faded black cardigan that appeared to be two to three sizes too large.

The former Ally McBeal star also wore rather unbecoming black Ugg boots as well as glasses and carried an over-the-shoulder satchel that appeared to overwhelm her tiny body.

Her shoulder-length dark blonde hair was worn loose and she appeared not to be wearing a stitch of make-up.

The extremely private actress, who is married to action star Harrison Ford, is often photographed out and about in Los Angeles, but has not been seen onscreen since her ABC series Brothers And Sisters wrapped its run in 2011.

Earlier this year she voiced Doris the penguin in the animated film The Penguins Of Madagascar, while the Golden Globe-winner also starred onstage in the LA Theatre Works production of The Seagull in 2012.

Last Saturday in Los Angeles, Flockhart and her son, Liam, nearly 13, were spotted out with a new puppy and both seemed completely taken with the new addition to the family.

Ford and Flockhart began dating in 2002 after meeting at the Golden Globe Awards and they married on June 15, 2010 in an intimate ceremony on a ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The 71-year-old actor has maintained a busy film career and has been working on the new Star Wars movie in recent months.
