'He's obsessed with his looks': Ashton Kutcher 'wants to become the face of big name designer brands'

Ashton Kutcher might be returning to his humble beginnings - as a male model.
According to RadarOnline, the 35-year-old star of Two and a Half Men is looking to capitalise on his celebrity status by lending his face to a major designer brand.
'More than ever, Ashton is obsessed with his looks and style,' said source close to the star.

'He’s spending a fortune every month on the latest and most expensive
designer looks because he wants to land a big fashion deal,' said the source.
'Ashton is shopping himself to the biggest designers on the planet because he wants to become the face of a big brand and commit to it for a number of years.'
Before he landed himself in the primetime, Kutcher began as a male model. In 1997, the Iowa native dropped out of university to pursue his dream full time.

In 1998, Kutcher competed in a International Modeling and Talent Association competition, only to lose to Josh Duhamel.
Despite losing, the competition nabbed the 6ft 2in looker a bit of attention, and he soon landed a modeling contract with Next modeling agency.
During his modeling career, Kutcher became the face of Calvin Klein and skateboarding company Zoo York.

Later that year, Kutcher moved to Los Angeles, where he scored his first audition: the part of Michael Kelso in That '70s Show.
Kutcher recently has a bit of luck in his attempt to return to his former career. In July 2011, fashion label Colcci hired the actor for a series of ads.
After the successful stint for Colcci, which included a show during Fashion Week in Brazil, Kutcher realized he wanted to a bigger stake in the fashion industry.
'Looking for a new investment: Ashton realizes that he’s been wasting time and money not becoming a deeper player in fashion,' a source told RadarOnline about Kutcher (seen here on Oct. 26)
'Ashton realises that he’s been wasting time and money not becoming a
deeper player in fashion and he’s finally starting to get serious about
marketing himself to these entities,' the source told RadarOnline.
'He wants to remind people how knowledgeable he is about the world or fashion and modeling from his very earliest days in show business.'
Currently, Kutcher is playing the part of Walden Schmidt in Two and Half Men.
