Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf and the cast of Fury get down and dirty on Oxfordshire set in director's behind-the-scenes Twitter pictures

There still may be a long wait until fans get to see Brad Pitt in his new film, but one thing is for sure: Fury will be full of muddy men and heavy artillery.

While the content of most movies remain a tightly guarded secret until they are in promotional mode just prior to their release, the film's director David Ayer has been a one man social media marketing team.

David - who also wrote the film - has been prolifically documenting what goes on behind the scenes of the war flick, posting a picture on his Twitter every day.

Up to day 57, the director has really started showing off the good stuff.

On Friday, he revealed the movie's stars in post battle mode - looking battered, tired and muddy on the Shirburn, Oxfordshire set.

Despite playing a tank commander that has just taken on the enemy, Brad still manged to look very dapper.

The 49-year-old posed alongside his rag tag tank crew - Kevin Vance, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Bernthal, and Logan Lerman - wearing army pants tucked into knee high leather boots, a zip up jacket, with gloves and a scarf thrown around his shoulders.

To play Sergeant Wardaddy - as he is known - in the World War II film, the star is sporting a period appropriate slicked back hair style that is shaved on the side.

While Brad just has a few days until he turns 50, the actor looked as youthful as his co-stars, all of whom are in their twenties and thirties.

Filming in a small town in England, the film also stars Micheal Pena whom the director brought along with him from hit cop drama End Of Watch.

The movie, expected to be released next November, is set in 1945 as the Nazi regime collapses and follows the five-man crew of an American tank called Fury, led by Brad as they attempt a deadly mission behind enemy lines.

Just remember, the same way Americans sneer at the French and the British sneer at the Americans, is also the same way the Russians sneer at the British. Wouldn't be surprised if the Germans shared the Russian disdain for the British as well (and the Americans and French for that matter).

More McHistory where Americans can defy the laws of reality because they are the only people fighting the Germans. Hurrah!

I had an American say to me once that if it wasn't for America australians would be speaking German. I said how do you figure that? he said cause Australia was never in either WWI or WWII. I said so my grandfather died playing a game of cricket in a field then. Ignorant idiots

Just remember, The Truth, the same way you sneer at American involvement during the second world war is the same way Russians sneer at all the Allies in Europe.

Shia LaBoof just needs to go away. I haven't read or heard a single good thing about him. That being said, I didn't actually read this article, so if they did happen to say something good about him... I didn't read it...
