Sunny side up! Adam Sandler enjoys a lazy morning bonding with his cute youngest daughter

He was named named 2013's most overpaid actor by Forbes, which claims he is one of the few actors in Hollywood who can still demand a pay check north of $15 million.

But Adam Sandler showed how down to earth he is on Tuesday when he was pictured out and about with his youngest daughter Sunny in Brentwood, where they had breakfast.

The 47-year-old father-of-two blended in with the masses in a baggy red Puma shirt, red basketball shorts, sneakers, and white socks.

He looked a bit bedraggled with a scruffy beard and rumpled hair.

Despite having designer brands very much accessible to him, the funnyman seems to show little interest in luxury and labels as he is frequently seen casual as can be.

The Anger Management star was seen parked at a table outside, sipping a drink out of a plastic cup and talking on the phone as five-year-old Sunny hovered at his side.

Sunny looked decidedly more fashionable in a powder pink sweater with a hot pink heart
and a matching pink bow in her hair, and blue leggings with bands of various colours.

After taking their leave, Adam left his cell phone at the table and Sunny ran back to get it for him.

The leisurely afternoon was likely a welcome break from his shooting schedule for the upcoming film, The Cobbler, set in New York.

Adam plays a shoe repairman who metaphysically slips into the lives of people whose shoes he fixes.

Unlike some of Adam's recent projects - That's My Boy, budgeted at $70 million and Jack and Jill, which cost $80 million, both of which were critically panned - this indie drama is budgeted in the $10 million range.

It is being directed by Tom McCarthy, who has won critical acclaim for independent gems The Station Agent and The Visitor.

The star is also getting started on the upcoming film, Men, Women & Children, about a group of high school teens and their parents as they attempt to navigate the many ways the Internet has changed their relationships, their communication, their self-image, and their love lives.

For those who miss the wise-cracking funny guy of such comedies as Happy Gilmore and Grown Ups, consolation is on the way.

Adam recently wrapped the comedy Blended co-starring Drew Barrymore and the film is due to hit cinemas in the US and UK on May 23.

The film centres around a man and woman who, after a bad blind date, find themselves thrown together at a family resort where their attraction grows and their respective children benefit from the blossoming relationship.

Adam and Drew's on screen chemistry goes way back - they previously starred in 50 First Dates and The Wedding Singer together.

Despite the Happy Gilmore star's smashing success as an actor, he has discovered the precedence that fatherhood to Sunny and seven-year-old Sadie takes over work.

'When I first started out in this game, I just didn't understand why any director or actor I worked with would suddenly take off and say, "I gotta go, I gotta go and see my kid in Little League in half an hour,"' he told The Independent in August.

'I would be like: "Dude, are you crazy? This is a movie we're making." Now of course, all I can think about is: "Yes later, everyone. My child is about to take her first poop."'

The mother of his children is former model Jackie Titone, with whom he has been married for a decade and met while filming Big Daddy.

Jackie was cast in the film as a waitress.

why is he always looking scruffy...like he just rolled out of bed..looks like someone needs a good shave and wash, but I like him though, doesn't take himself too seriously unlike other actors.
