Walking on air! Vanessa Hudgens makes an unusual fashion statement in clear perspex soled creepers

Vanessa Hudgens likes to push the fashion envelop.

But on Monday, the 25-year-old pushed it so far no one could even see it any more.

The star stepped out in Studio City, California, looking like she was walking on air thanks to a pair of very unusual shoes.

Visiting a friend's house, the former High School Musical star donned a pair of black creepers with perspex soles which created the fashion optical illusion.

Clearly not easy to walk in, the star gingerly walked down her friend's stairs, trying to not put a foot wrong.

Not the same could be said for her fashion, with Vanessa over-stepping the mark on her attempt to wear the current trend, overalls.

Making a resurgence recently, the all-in-ones have fast become a hipster girl's best friend.

But while stylish dungarees have tended to lean towards looser fits with a vintage feel, Vanessa wore a pair that were tight on her legs and featured a non-functional tight top half.

The Spring Breakers star added a black T-shirt and wore a black cap backwards over her long flowing brown hair.

While the overalls were probably not the most flattering choice, they were useful, as she was able to shove her phone and credit card into the denim onsie's multiple pockets, freeing up Vanessa's hands.

The star is no doubt still on a high from her 25th birthday on Saturday night.

Vanessa celebrated with friends at Hollywood's hot bar No Vacancy in a Great Gatsby themed event.

she either hits or misses with her style but shes still gorgeous. she looks really young for 25 like maybe 20 but a mature 20 year old.

She is so beautiful! Can't BELIEVE she is 25 though!! She's the same age as Rihanna, but looks a lot younger, around 20 or something. I really like Vanessa; she seems sweet and she's a talented young lady. Wishing her the best :)
