1st Canadian Division

The 1^st Canadian Division (1^st Cdn Div) is a fully deployable unit trained and enabled at an advanced state of readiness to lead Canadian Armed Forces operations at home and abroad. The 1^st Cdn Div assumes the tasks of Non-combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO) and to deploy the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART).

The division has three high-readiness tasks:

• Humanitarian operations, such as those conducted in Haiti in 2010;
• Non-combatant Evacuation Operations for the safe evacuation of Canadians abroad, such as from Lebanon in 2006; and
• Full-spectrum operations, such as those in Afghanistan.

Army in Western Canada

3^rd Canadian Division (3 Cdn Div) is responsible to provide combat ready land forces in accordance with assigned tasks, conduct general purpose training in preparation for various land operations, and provide support services to other organizations as directed or as mutually arranged. It includes all Regular and Reserve Force units in western Canada from the Pacific Ocean to Thunder Bay, Ontario, with the exception of the Canadian Manoeuvre Training Centre in Wainwright, Alberta, which is administered by the Canadian Army Training and Doctrine Centre.

Army in Ontario

4^th Canadian Division (4 Cdn Div) is responsible to provide combat ready land forces in accordance with assigned tasks, conduct general purpose training in preparation for various land operations, and provide support services to other organizations as directed or as mutually arranged. It includes all Regular and Reserve Force units in Ontario, with the exception of a portion of North Western Ontario, which falls under 3 Canadian Division (3 Cdn Div). Army national training and doctrine facilities in Ontario are administrated by the Canadian Army Training and Doctrine Centre.  1st Canadian Division (1 Cdn Div) is located at CFB Kingston, Ontario and reports directly to Army Headquarters.

Army in Quebec

2^nd Canadian Division (2 Cdn Div) is responsible to provide combat ready land forces in accordance with assigned tasks, conduct general purpose training in preparation for various land operations, and provide support services to other organizations as directed or as mutually arranged. It includes all Regular and Reserve Force units in Quebec.

Army in Atlantic Canada

5^th Canadian Division (5 Cdn Div) is responsible to provide combat ready land forces in accordance with assigned tasks, conduct general purpose training in preparation for various land operations, and provide support services to other organizations as directed or as mutually arranged. It includes all Regular and Reserve Force units in the four Atlantic Provinces, with the exception of the 2nd Battalion The Royal Canadian Regiment, which falls under the operational command of  4 Canadian Division (4 Cdn Div). The Combat Training Centre in Gagetown, New Brunswick, is administered by the Canadian Army Training and Doctrine Centre.

Canadian Army Doctrine and Training Centre (CADTC)

The mission of Canadian Army Doctrine and Training Centre (CADTC) is to plan and manage the intellectual development and training of the Canadian Army. That includes all personnel deployed as part of the Army under a Task Force or Joint Task Force.

CADTC comprises various units, (CADTC Headquarters, the Peace Support Training Centre, the Canadian Army Command and Staff College and the 2 Electronic Warfare Squadron) which are all located in Kingston, Ontario.

Also part of CADTC is the Army’s Combat Training Centre (CTC), a formation with units at 5th Canadian Division Support Group Gagetown, New Brunswick, and at at 8 Wing Trenton, Ontario, and the Canadian Manoeuvre Training Centre (CMTC) in Wainwright, Alberta.
