Camille Grammer's former boyfriend has provided his own version of events after being accused of beating her in October at a Texas hotel.

Greek bankruptcy attorney Dimitri Charalambopoulos, 37, became the focus of restraining orders sought by Grammer in California and Texas following the October 16 incident at the luxury ZaZa hotel in Houston.

The 45-year-old Grammer accused him of slamming her head into furniture, pulling out clumps of her hair and leaving her battered and bruised.

Charalambopoulos recently filed legal documents giving his account of events and claimed he only acted in self-defence, according to an article on Monday in TMZ.

Grammer returned to the hotel after a medical procedure and Charalambopoulos claimed he used his cell phone at 11:30pm to call a male friend about a ride to the airport, according to his court filing.

Charalambopoulos claimed that he was asleep when Camille woke him up and screamed that he was a liar and cheater while alleging his telephone call was from a woman.

Grammer grabbed his phone, threatened to flush it down the toilet and broke it in half, Charalambopoulos claimed in the court documents.

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star allegedly started hitting him and Charalambopoulos claimed he put his hands up in self-defence.

Charalambopoulos in his filing said he fired off a verbal salvo at Grammer.

'I told her that I now knew why Kelsey left her, because she was a ''fame w**re'' that only cared about attention and money,' his court document said.

Grammer took to Instagram shortly after the incident and posted photos of her alleged injuries and also spoke about the 'terrible' attack on The Dr. Oz Show and also claimed it lasted up to an hour.

The reported assault came just a few days after Grammer was released from hospital following a radical hysterectomy to treat early stage endometrial cancer.

Charalambopoulos has denied her allegations.

On November 23, he was charged with assault of a family member and impeding breath - which is a felony in Texas.

The Greek lawyer appeared in court last month and posted a non-arrest bond of $5,000, according to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Access Hollywood reported.

Grammer was famously married to actor Kelsey Grammer from 1997 until 2011 and they had two children together.

Even if she did start the fight, can you not subdue a woman without pulling her hair out and blacking her eye? If she is that bad why didn't YOU walk away from the relationship?

He's so full of it. She has more money than she could ever spend and if she wants to be in the public eye, she can make a call to Real Housewives ad they'd take her back in a heartbeat. This guy is a CREEP.

A hysterectomy is major abdominal surgery. She wouldn't have been physically capable of attacking someone a few days after that. She would have been barely able to stand up straight let alone start beating someone up... total nonsense.

She'd had a full hysterctemy just days before. That is major surgery. You can barely move for the first week & it remains painful for longer still. I can't stand Camille but I do not believe she attacked him at a time when she would be doped up & barely mobile.

I had a complete hysterectomy over 20 yrs ago and was on plain Tylenol the following day. Compared to the pain I had been in prior the surgical pain was nothing. So I think it is different for all women. I think there is some truth to both accounts but the whole truth we have not heard. There are 2 sides to every story. I don't think either of them are being completely honest.

We already knew what she was, still it's no excuse to beat her up.

He should never give her a slap but she's trouble, I can imagine the next bloke she gets with will end up giving her a beating.

How come she's still using her ex's name, could it be she's a fame w**re.

Maybe because it's her legal name and the same last name as her children?
