His family is known for their love of the spotlight and hunger for fame, seemingly at whatever cost.

But it appears Rob Kardashian doesn't share their sentiments.

The 26-year-old has allegedly moved from Los Angeles to Florida to distance himself from the constant scrutiny that fame brings.

A source told In Touch Weekly that the reality star moved to the Sunshine State three months ago.

'He finally realised he needs to focus on himself and not do things the way his sisters do. He feels he needs a clean break,' said the insider.

'Rob feels like his family can’t see anything beyond the spotlight,' added the source. 'But he wants more for himself than fame.'

Rob has had a tough time this past year. He gained more than 60lbs after his split from singer Rita Ora, and has since made headlines for his fluctuating weight. Rob has also been grappling with premature balding.

In addition, he is said to have struggled with the breakdown of sister Khloe's marriage with his close friend Lamar Odom as well as his mother's separation from Bruce, his stepdad of 22 years.

Rob apparently feels his mother wasn't there for him when he needed her.

'Kris tried to get him a weight-loss deal and pushed him to promote a hair-loss supplement,' said the source. 'He feels like the family abandoned him when he needed them most. For him, life is more than just a business deal.'

Good for him. Seriously, good luck kid. He's young enough that he can start over and live a semi normal life

Rob feels fame isn't everything? Is he sure he's really a Kardashian? Good for him on having some common sense despite his environment.

Once again, Kris should be ashamed of the way she has treated another of her offspring. Getting away from his over-the-top dysfunctional family is the first step in Rob's healing. Hope he finds healthy supportive friends and a good therapist to help him navigate him on his new journey. Really wish him the best!

The most educated and sentient of a family- committed to selling anything for a quick buck- is giving himself the chance of a decent life. Good luck to him!

It's obvious the weight and hair loss is not the problem just systems of something much. I actually liked him and hope he moves on and has a healthy life outside of Hollywood.

Marion, Boston.....Get over yourself...trying to imagine a person, sitting at a computer...on New Year's Day....criticizing others for posting their entitled opinion....you are the loser.
