'Happy New Year, love The McDermotts!' Tori Spelling cuddles up to husband Dean for family photograph as they put reports of his infidelity firmly behind them

Tori Spelling removed her wedding ring briefly amid reports her husband Dean McDermott, 47, cheated with Canadian Emily Goodhand, 28, in early December.

But things are looking up for Dean in 2014 as his 40-year-old wife was spotted with her marriage band firmly intact as she ran errands in Los Angeles on Tuesday and posted a cosy picture with him to her website and linked to it from her Twitter account.

In the photograph, Tori and Dean look cosy as they lay on the floor with their heads together looking up at the camera and with a Happy New Year sign in front of them.

Making no reference to the cheating reports, Tori gushed 'Happy New Year everyone! I can NOT believe it’s 2014. Time flies when you’re having fun… and when you have 4 little ones running around! We rang in the New Year with (kid-friendly) cocktails, lots of yummy treats and some quality family time (sic).'

This cosy picture comes just one day after the TV star brought Liam and Stella to a McDonalds drive through and made sure to keep her left hand clearly visible in order to show the wedding ring.

Tori - who recently put her and Dean's boutique InvenTori up for lease - leaned out of the car with her hand up to her face and her silent statement proves recent claims by insiders that she is determined to work on her marriage and Dean will not give up without a fight.

Tuesday's issue of People claimed the marriage will most likely not end. 'He'll fight hard for her,' a source insisted. 'They'll think very hard before making any decision about their future as a couple.'

The weekly's insider went on to say: 'She's very dependent on Dean and the whole life they've created together.'

The two have appeared in several reality shows based on their relationship. In 2014, they will have a new series titled Tori & Dean: Cabin Fever on HGTV.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 star is also reportedly stronger than one would guess with the source insisting, 'She's not someone who gives up easily.'

That doesn't mean this scandal, which UsWeekly first broke, isn't a tough one to cope with.

Us Weekly followed up their shocking cover story with an article on Tori's state of mind - she was said to be 'devastated' and 'embarrassed' by her husband's alleged one-night stand.

The weekly also offered new details about the aftermath of the cheating news, saying Tori reportedly 'had no idea' that her spouse had strayed while on a press trip to Toronto, Canada in early December, and now they are 'fighting nonstop'.

'Their arguments have gotten really bad,' added an insider.

But another source maintained, 'The marriage isn't over yet.'

The starlet, who is the daughter of the late TV producer Aaron Spelling, didn't let the issue ruin Christmas.

Sources have said that's why she posted cute Christmas photos of her four children- sons Liam, aged six, and Finn, aged 16 months, as well as daughters Stella, aged five, and Hattie, aged two - to her blog.

The caption read she is 'so grateful'.

Meanwhile Dean's alleged paramour told Us Weekly, 'He was romantic and very complimentary. He was telling me, "You're so beautiful."

'And he told me he and Tori had a sexless marriage. I believed him.'

Reps for Tori and Dean have not yet commented to MailOnline on the allegations.

The alleged fling took place after a group of friends met up at Pravda Vodka House in the Canadian city, where Dean was on a promotional tour for his hosting job on the show Chopped Canada.

Emily was a friend of a friend and the two were introduced. Her occupation was not disclosed.

The father invited the beauty back to the Fairmont Royal York Hotel where they had sex, according to Us Weekly.

'He seemed like a cool guy,' Emily said. 'I thought he was handsome.'

They became friendly over an eight hour meal at Pravda, sitting side by side. 'We were just having fun and hanging out,' Emily claimed.

When heading toward the bar at his hotel, 'he was flirting,' she alleged, and she explained she was attracted to him because his personality was 'very charming'.

The 5'8" looker explained she felt she could 'trust' him because he opened up to her and was 'talking about his kids and his work'.

She also said they knew a lot of the same people, 'so we had that in common'.

During drinks at the Fairmont hotel, Dean did not openly flirt with Emily as there were other friends with them.

But later the two exchanged phone numbers, then he slipped his card key with his room number into her purse. 'We just looked at each other,' Emily said.

After slyly leaving with friends and making it seem as if she was going home, Emily instead went to Dean's hotel room. At first he wasn't there but then she texted him and he showed up within seconds.

'He wanted to make me feel good,' she explained after he flooded her with compliments. 'Then the time for talking was over.'

Emily, who insisted they used protection during their encounter, said Dean gushed about his famous wife.

'He said, "I love my wife, I love her so much. But she won't sleep with me,"' Emily recounted.

She then said she had to go home to get a good night's sleep and he asked that they 'cuddle' first.

The next day both worked but texted each other.

On December 7 she claims she visited the TV star again at the Fairmont Hotel, but this time he had a male pal there.

And instead of taking off his clothes, he took out his computer where he showed off photos of Tori and the kids. At one point he even bragged about the sex tape he made with his spouse.

Emily, who has never seen Tori's hit TV series Beverly Hills, 90210, said she did not want to see the tape.

At 3am they shared a club sandwich and fries then fell asleep. This time there was no hanky panky, just cuddling.

'It felt cool that I had this connection,' Emily told the publication.

'Neither one of us said anything about seeing each other again. It was, "Nice to meet you. Crazy that there was this chemistry. I had a great time,' she added.

Emily is now feeling bad about the hook up. 'I f***ed up,' she told UsWeekly.

Meanwhile, on December 7 Tori talked glowingly about Dean.

'We do date night once a week,' the Lifetime favourite said.

'We're into public displays of affection.'

According to the magazine Tori has expressed insecurity about Dean in the past because he left his first wife of 12 years, Mary Jo Eustace (with whom he had a son and a newly adopted daughter) during their 2005 affair on the set of movie Mind Over Murder.

Cracks also showed when her book Spelling It Like It Is came out and unveiled their financial troubles.

'Dean felt like it made them look like idiots,' a source told the magazine.

But the star will have to keep on working. 'Tori is the breadwinner,' added the source.

Dean left his first wife for Tori, and Tori left her first husband for Dean; they had an affair. Personally, I would never be able to trust a marriage that started like that. It all began with lies and pain. That said, that does not mean I wish for them to split... despite everything, it seems, up until now, they've had a good relationship, and lovely kids.
