Marlon and Cameron’s tense encounter will be seen by Emmerdale fans in the October 16 episode but producers have teased the big moment by releasing a series of images.

Bartender and chef Marlon is seen looking shocked as he’s confronted by killer Cameron, played by Dominic Power, in the Woolpack during the episode's opening scenes.

Cameron, brandishing a shotgun, is on a mission to find his ex fiancée Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) but in his bid to hunt her down, the killer is disturbed by Marlon in the pub.

The bartender is immediately hit in the stomach by Cameron before being pushed down the cellar stairs.

Viewers will see Marlon left unconscious with a head wound as Cameron, who has already killed Carl King, Alex Moss and Gennie Sharma, makes a dash for it into the bar.

The drama doesn’t end there though as the episode will then see Cameron take former girlfriends Debbie and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) hostage in the pub along with other Woolpack regulars.

While Debbie tries to reason with an unhinged Cameron, Chas hits him with a chair in an attempt to take the gun from him - but not before he manages to shoot one of the village's residents.

Speaking about his character’s terrifying encounter, actor Mark Charnock reveals to the Radio Times that ‘Marlon's feeling absolute abject horror.’

‘He locks the back doors of the Woolpack because Cameron’s on the loose. He has a light conversation with Chas about them being safe rather than sorry. Then he goes into the Woolpack back corridor and Cameron is there’.

‘His throat tightens, he can’t even shout out and before he knows it he’s been hit in the stomach and across the face with the butt of the gun and he’s fallen down the cellar steps, unconscious. Faced with the abyss, both literal and metaphorical.’

Charley Webb, who’s character has been in an on off relationship with ultimate bad boy Cameron, also opens up about shooting the hostage scenes:

‘Debbie can’t believe what’s happening. Cameron absolutely terrifies her and she doesn’t recognise what he’s become,’ Charley tells Soaplife.

Last orders: Cameron is hellbent on getting to Debbie, injuring Marlon before taking his ex and Woolpack regulars hostage inside the pub

‘He wants her to leave the village with him’, she adds of Cameron’s dangerous intentions. ‘He really thinks that if he explains everything to her, they can run away together. It’s sad because she looks at him and sees the man she loves, but he has turned into a monster.’

The scenes will be shown on Emmerdale on October 16.

I must be the only one here who likes the Cameron story. I prefer this than depressing Hayley thing in Corrie with her cancer. Hard to watch as I lost both grandparents to cancer. I can't wait for this episode with Cameron!!

At least the Hayley storyline is believable. Remind me how many murders have happened in both CS and ED in the past few years?

An insult to peoples intelligence. Improbable story lines and awful acting. ITV can certainly pick programmes, this and that casserole of nonsense, that is the X Factor!

Emmerdale is the best soap on TV right now. However, I've actually come to loathe seeing the seemingly holier-than-thou Debbie Dingle. I know it's not real, but I just want to punch my TV screen every time she comes on it,

Spot the difference! Who's copying who? or are they written by the same person? Yesterdays Hollyoaks........Mass Murderer escapes from prison to go back to the village to terrorise the people that put him there!! Fast forward to Emmerdale....Mass Murderer escapes from Prison van to go back to the village to terrorise the people that put him there!!

I'm totally fed up with the story of Cameron/ Debbie story, also baby Kyle and the adoption situation. Amy would never be allowed to make contact with the child or his family after the paperwork had been signed. Geordies everywhere can't understand a word they are saying. I don't know if they are cheap to hire, but they are trashing a good show. I hope Cameron goes wild with his gun and and kills the whole cast. Must do better if you want to hang on to your viewers.

I'm so fed up with this stupid story line, its total rubbish. Also, all the geordies on the show are really bringing it down, they may be cheap to hire, but they are damaging a once good show. Sad really. New actors and writers required before the rest of your viewers go the BBC for some real entertainment.
