Ethiopian Joins Hands with ECF Childrens Fund to Help Vulnerable Children - 06 January, 2014
Ethiopian Airlines is proud to partner with African Mosaïque for its annual Pan-African
fashion show and Gala event at Sheraton Addis on January 10, 2014 to benefit Ethiopian
Children’s Fund (ECF).
The African Mosaïque Pan-African fashion show and Gala event will feature renowned
African designers and models, and special appearances by famous African-American
movie celebrities, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Parker, who will travel to Addis Ababa for
the event on-board Ethiopian flight from Washington D.C.
The proceeds of the event will go directly to support 700 destitute and highly
vulnerable children, who are being take care of under the integrated development
program of ECF Village in Aleltu, 55km north of Addis Ababa. ECF Village comprises
of a school, health clinic, as well as feeding and environmental programs. Every year,
the Village enrolls 80 children in place of the graduates, who go on to attend
universities and higher learning institutions all over Ethiopia.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, Ethiopian has a strong record in
supporting humanitarian causes and projects aimed at helping the community.
