Darhani is a beautiful, luxury Riad (small hotel) in the heart of Marrakech. To reflect this I designed the site to be simple and stylish. A focus on large imagery begins to communicate the beauty of this Riad.

As Darhani is so popular, with glowing reviews across the web, I wanted to incorporate this into the site. An integrated RSS feed from TripAdvisor pulls in the latest reviews to post directly to the site with a filter to ensure that in the rare event of a negative review, it won't get posted to the site.

As per a many of my sites, I chose Symphony CMS to build this site on.

Butcher Row Studios are start up, small-medium size audio studio in East London. Many of their competitors have either low-budget, poorly designed websites or over-engineered, flash-heavy websites.

I wanted to build a stylish and easy-to-navigate website which incorporated their personal touch. The result was a HTML 5 compliant website which uses JQuery for animation, semantic markup for layout and the new HTML 5 <audio> component for audio playback. Twitter integration helps to communicate what nice chaps they are and the Facebook comment system allows users to interact with the site directly.

Having worked with Paul on various HDSLR editing projects, I was thrilled when he approached me to ask if I would rebuild his portfolio site for him.

The brief was basically to build a website that could prove he's at the forefront of the HDSLR revolution, showcase to potential clients the variety of projects he’s been involved in and get across his impressive work for BBC, Channel 4 and ITV.

The brief for this project was to develop a site which would be able to demonstrate Clear Island's abilities as a production company, and also showcase key projects. I wanted to steer the site away from its Flash-heavy predecessors and end up with something more simple, stylish and content driven.

With Ewa is the result of a 2 year venture, which involved developing not just the website, but the brand and the artwork, and producing 2 DVDs. We were looking to convey the same ethic in the website and the DVD; simple, stylish and easy-to-navigate. This was all written in semantic HTML 5 with emphasis on being user-friendly, search-engine optimised and tied together with Symphony CMS.
