It's clear who's wearing the trousers in this relationship.

Britney Spears had her boyfriend David Lucado walking around on all fours like a chained animal as he joined her on stage for a segment of her New Year's Eve Las Vegas gig.

The 32-year-old singer dragged her other half up for her Freakshow track at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

David, dubbed 'Everyday Dave', appeared to be enjoying the spotlight and was seen laughing as he crawled down the centre of the stage.

Britney, meanwhile, took the reigns marching him along while wearing a dominatrix-inspired leather ensemble.

The singer kicked off her two-year Vegas residency on Friday.

But while belting out her hit Circus on Saturday evening, Britney's derrière was exposed when her sequined top became unzipped.

Instead of getting flustered, the beauty kept singing as her back-up dancers came to the rescue, preventing her show from becoming X rated.

The incident was caught by an audience member during the weekend performance who took a video of what could have been a major embarrassment.

The show - which saw Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez appear on opening night - has had other surprises as well.

On Monday evening Lance Bass popped up on stage during the Freakshow portion as he was dressed up in black ears and walked around the stage like a chained animal, according to E!

The former boy bander didn't seem to mind as he had a smile on his face the entire time.

The same thing was done to Mario Lopez on the opening night on Friday.

I can see people thinking this is a double standard, but the way I see it is it's not really. If the man wanted to, he could easily overpower a woman in this position, he's there because he chooses to be. On the other hand if a man had the woman in this position she couldn't just as easily overpower a man. Now do I think this is appropriate behaviour for a public audience? I like to think some things are meant for the bedroom, and what people choose to do behind closed doors is up to them, but this imagery might not be appropriate for a younger less discerning audience who don't know how to separate fantasy from reality. My 2 cents.

You missed my point. The fact is, that unless the woman is amazonion and stronger than the man, it's fair to say that in most cases she won't be able to physically overpower a man to even put him in this situation in the first place. What men and woman do behind closed doors is up to them, role play whatever, it's none of my business. Is this appropriate imagery to broadcast to a less discerning younger public? Debatable. Just as I would have an issue with the opposite imagery being broadcast as acceptable either. Youth are like sponges they absorb everything most times without the ability to process the information appropriately. I think it would be OK if this was a adult only show etc. The bottom line is, that some women like to be treated this way (in fantasy scenarios, as well as men) But I don't agree with it being aired for a younger audience.

Its about convincing little kids that females are the boss, because the boss is responsible for everything ,especially everything that goes wrong. Its setting women up to be the scapegoats,by trickery.

Younger American singers seem to have completely lost the plot. Same old formula making the un-sexiest sexy performances. Just join live sex shows and have done with the music business, luvvies.

Imagine if a man displayed a woman in a similar manner.
