Amy Poehler enjoys some final days of recreation as she steps out with beau Nick Kroll ahead of Golden Globes

With an awards show to host on Sunday, Amy Poehler made sure to make the most of the holidays with boyfriend Nick Kroll.

The 42-year-old actress and the Kroll Show star seem to have rung in the new year together as they were spotted walking together in New York on Wednesday.

The funny duo appeared to be in a hurry while crossing the street, the 35-year-old actor even leaving his blonde girlfriend behind a couple of paces.

Amy had a pair of reasons for trailing behind as she wore stylish heeled boots as part of a clean entirely black outfit.

Skinny jeans with zippers at the ankle, a knit sweater, and a leather jacket continued the onyx colour scheme.

She also accessorized the ensemble with sunglasses and a knit winter cap which sat on top of her platinum blonde locks.

Her leading man did not look quite as dapper, but also ran with a hue theme.

Kroll was layered in blue as his collared shirt, sweater, coat, and jeans were all of similar chroma.

He also made the odd choice of wearing beige coloured knit mittens and greenish grey boots. 

The League star had a look of urgency upon his face and watched for oncoming traffic as he made sure that his partner made it across the intersection safely.

The stars made their public debut as a couple on June 6 at AFI's 41st Life Achievement Award Gala in Hollywood. 

Kroll is not the only funny person that Poehler has paired up with as in a matter of days, the Parks And Recreation star will be co-hosting the Golden Globes with good friend Tina Fey.

The awards show will be taking place in Beverly Hills on Sunday and will be honoring the best in film and television.

The comedienne team also hosted last year's extravaganza, which drew 19.7 million viewers.

This year's Golden Globes will be broadcast live on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014 on NBC.
