Ever the doting mother, Ivanka Trump spent three hours playing in the pool with her two-year-old daughter today, but it was all worth it for the priceless reward of a kiss.

The 32-year-old posted an adorable Instagram picture of her and Arabella embracing by a pool at the Mar-a-lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, where she's vacationing with her family.

'After three hours of playing in the pool with Arabella (and seven plastic mermaids) she rewarded me with a kiss,' wrote Ms Trump, adding: 'Worth it? Most definitely!'

In the photo, Arabella wears dark sunglasses and a stylish toddler-sized purple bikini with a white floral pattern, her hair pulled back in a ponytail.

Clutching a bucket of plastic beach toys, she gives a tender kiss to her mother, who crouches behind her, holding her protectively.

The photo had more than 2,200 'likes' in the first 25 minutes it was posted, with many followers commenting on what a loving mother Ms Trump appears to be.

Ms Trump has kept her followers up-to-date on all her recent holiday activities, including how she spent New Year's morning with her two little children.

The picture shows just how much little Joseph, who is wearing a white and grey onesie, has grown in the past three months.

And Arabella, who gazes lovingly at her younger sibling in the photo, looks just as fashionable as her designer mom in a white halter pajama top, her hair in a messy topknot.

The snap garnered an impressive 7,300 'likes' in the first hour after it was posted.
