Hangover star Justin Bartha ties the knot with fitness trainer Lia Smith in intimate ceremony in Hawaii

His character Doug Billings' bachelor party was a disaster in 2009 hit comedy The Hangover but nothing could have ruined Justin Bartha's gorgeous island wedding on Saturday.

The 35-year-old actor was in Oahu, Hawaii to marry fitness trainer Lia Smith in an intimate ceremony at The Secret Island in Kualoa Ranch.

There were no more than 20 people in attendance, but actress Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth were two of the select few.

The actor wore a stylish black slim fit suit with a bit of colour peeking at the ankle as he wore burgundy coloured socks.

His blushing bride looked beautiful as she donned a flowy strapless ball gown style wedding dress.

Gathering of the clans: There were dozens of family members and friends who lined up for a photograph

She completed her wedding ensemble with a pair of silver studded multi-strapped heels and her hair tied up elegantly.

According to a source for E! News the ceremony was held at a ranch and the reception was held in the valley, where the Hunger Games happened to be filmed.

The scenery looked breathtaking at the 4,000-acre cattle ranch.

Just married: The happy couple has had many milestone moments in Hawaii as they were first publicly linked there on New Years 2013 and it is also where the fitness trainer is originally from.

The Hangover actor proposed to Lia in May of 2013 while the pair were on vacation in Big Sur, California though there was never any announcement or confirmation from the couple.

But rumours did begin to swirl that month after the bride-to-be was spotted with the shiny keepsake.

The duo met during a pilates session at Equinox in Los Angeles.

However, the pair were first publicly linked on New Year's Day 2013 while in Hawaii, where Lia is originally from.

Their courtship moved fast from the that point on as the pair already were spending time with the trainer's parents on Oahu during that vacation.

This is the actor's first marriage, but he also had a relationship with fashion designer Ashley Olsen for over two years before splitting in 2011.

Although the Hangover trilogy reached its final chapter last year, it hasn't kept Justin from working as he had a supporting role in CBGB and was on the cast of the drama Brahmin Bulls.

No more than 20 guest in addendence??? I wud say from the pictures there was a lot more than 20 and the fact that under one picture taken the caption underneath says dozens of friends and family gathered for pictures. Just saying !!
