Life's a beach for some lucky people, and Stephanie Seymour is one of them.

The former supermodel was spotted splashing in the sea with her daughter Lilly as she continued to enjoy her family break in St Barts on Saturday.

The gorgeous 45-year-old ditched the teeny bikinis she's been wearing since arriving at the tropical paradise before Christmas in favour of a clingy red one-piece.

But, if anything, that showed off even more of her fabulous body as it became transparent when wet.

It doesn't look as if the shapely ex-Victoria's Secret model has put on a single pound since appearing in the Sports Illustrated swimwear issue in the 1990s.

Stephanie is still enviably slender and lithe with a washboard-flat tummy that belies the fact that she's a mother of four children.

The 5ft 10in brunette braved the waves with nine-year-old Lilly, who looked cute in a light blue bikini with her hair tied back in a thick plait.

She and her billionaire husband Peter Brant, 66, have two other children, Harry, 17, and Peter, 20. Stephanie also has a son Dylan, 23, from her previous marriage to Tommy Andrews.

The publisher, real estate developer and art collector has taken the whole family to St Barts for the holiday season for many years.

Although Stephanie doesn't do very much modelling these days, she landed designer Jason Wu's campaign for his Spring 2013 collection.

The images were shot by iconic photography duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin at eatery La Grenouille in Manhattan.

At the time, Stephanie said: 'He looks like a 20-year-old FIT student, but has the skill of a great couturier of the past.'
