In December of 1990 an announcement went out to MG owners in the greater Grand Rapids and West Michigan area inviting them to take part in the birth of a new MG and British Car club. The West Michigan Old Speckled Hen MG Car Club was founded with the support and encouragement of John Twist and Caroline Robinson of University Motors, Ltd. as a chapter of the MG Car Club of the United Kingdom. We are also a chapter of the North American MGB Register (NAMGBR). Currently our membership includes approximately 160 families actively involved in the preservation and enjoyment of MG and other British sport cars.
If this is an interest you share we welcome you to join us. In addition to the new friends you will make, the fun and technical support, you will enjoy receiving our monthly newsletter "The Octagram", attending the monthly social meetings at various locations throughout West Michigan and the bi-monthly board meetings in various members homes. We also sponsor a number of special events during the year such as an annual 3 day Fall Color Tour to northern Michigan. Please consider joining today by sending in your application and the $20 annual membership dues.
Please feel free to contact any of our officers, board or committee members for more information.
Join the fun!
