Comfort first! Naomi Watts dresses down in tracksuit bottoms for bargain shopping trip days after wowing at the Golden Globes

It's been an up-and-down week for Naomi Watts - at least as far as her wardrobe is concerned.

Over the weekend the 45-year-old actress dressed in a shimmering gold gown at the Golden Globes to support husband Liev Schreiber, who was nominated for an award for his role in Ray Donovan.

But on Thursday, she went for a completely different look, sporting sweatpants and a tank top for a bargain shopping spree at Target in Los Angeles.

The two-time Oscar nominee was no doubt feeling a little down after she was nominated for a Razzie for her 2013 body of work in the films Diana and Movie 43.

But the blonde star cheered herself up with some retail therapy alongside and a brunette pal in Century City, where they filled their cart with household items such as woven baskets, cleansers, lampshades and a coffee pot.

The usually stylish actress wore wine coloured tracksuit bottoms, along with a black tank top and rubber sandals.

Her blonde hair was pulled back in a ponytail and she propped a pair of sunglasses atop her head.

She also wore no make-up and carried a large black leather bag.

Naomi made another stop on Thursday at the Brentwood Country Mart, a favourite shopping destination among A-listers.

It was quite a contrast to her highly glamorous Golden Globes look in a soft gold metallic halterneck slinky gown by Tom Ford and sleek, straight hair.

On Wednesday, Naomi took her Razzie recognition in stride as she attended a yoga class with fellow Hollywood mom Reese Witherspoon.

After their workout, the ladies joined some other fellow yoga pals to grab fresh juice together. Both were seen holding healthy green juices as they parted ways with a friendly kiss on the cheek.

Naomi and Liev are parents to two boys, Alexander 'Sasha', six, and Samuel Kai.

She'll be hoping for a better critical reception for her Birdman and St. Vincent De Van Nuys, both due for release this year.

She's also set to star in Holland, Michigan and While We're Young.
