ABOUT US

West Beach Bathers Pavilion (Westie to the locals) was once one of three change rooms built in 1928; it’s a part of Melbourne’s history. It’s life began as a hub for Melbourne’s colourful and burgeoning bathing population, but by the turn of the century had slipped into disrepair. Jump forward to 2009 and, after seven years of careful restoration, Westie is back as a Tearoom, Bar and Function Venue. At Westie we enjoy the simple life – so feel free to kick your shoes off, stick your feet in the sand and stay a while.

West Beach Bathers Pavilion offers a unique and exciting location for your next celebration, meeting or conference. We have the flexibility to host all manner of launches & corporate events. Overlooking St Kilda’s West Beach, who could ask for a better location to motivate the team away from the office. If weather permits, you may utilise the beach and deck overlooking Port Phillip Bay. The facility can be set as a conference room with up to 120 boardroom style or 250 seat theatre style. It comes equipped with microphone, data and internet capabilities plus breakout areas.
Audio visual support can be hired.

For your wedding, we offer an unmatched beach front setting with stunning views,
spectacular sunsets and the sand just a step away; all in the heart of Melbourne!

Whatever the occasion, our dedicated events team will ensure your conference, event or special celebration is an outstanding success.
