Meet Tank. Tank is a Mastiff/Sharpei mix and sadly his mom just found out a few weeks ago that he is suffering from bone cancer, a common disease for the Mastiff breed. It was deemed untreatable and Tank’s pain has progressed quickly, so he will only be with his mom for a few more days. Like many dogs, he isn’t a fan of the camera, and Lindsay knew that it was now or never to get better pictures of him to remember him by, so she quickly scheduled a Cherish Session. We spent an hour walking around Boone Hall and letting Tank explore a little. He was really excited to be on a “field trip” and loved staring at the horses and checking out the different parts of the plantation since he had never been. It breaks my heart to know our four legged loved ones time here with us is not long enough, and if you have a second, I know any positive thoughts and prayers will mean the world to Lindsay. Safe travels over Rainbow Bridge, Tank. You are such a handsome and sweet boy.
Tank is the sweetest and most loveable giant lap dog. I’ll miss that guy. Great photos to remember him by for Lindsay and everyone else who loves him.
These are amazing! I love the close up of his little velvet ears :) I can’t wait to pick out my Tank photo – love the bow tie!
Beautiful and touching as always.
You have the best job in the world to be able to capture moments for the people and there kids (animals) that you photograph. They are priceless.
This is so sweet… I really love that you do this. I don’t know Tank or his mom but this is so touching it made me tear up.
I know these photographs mean more to them than you can imagine! :)
I love animals and found this browsing the blog! Such a touching series of photographs that Tank’s mom can cherish forever! I teared up! What a wonderful way to commemorate such a sweet pup!
Although I have deep roots in Maryland where I grew up, I am absolutely in love with all things southern. I live on a farm in a small town in South Carolina with my handsome husband, my beautiful step-son, our two yellow lab fur-kids, and three spoiled horses. My blog is a journal of sorts. It’s where I can share all about the things I love so much: my family, our life together, and of course all of the amazing and wonderful people and pets whose story I get to tell.
I love collaborating with laid-back and down- to-earth couples who appreciate the value their wedding images will have for the rest of their lives, and I believe in unique weddings that are truly designed around two people and who they are together. I strive to create images that are emotional, organic, fresh, and genuine, but that will remain timeless twenty, thirty, or sixty years down the road. I believe in printed images, developing friendships with my clients, and having a completely relaxed and enjoyable wedding experience. Each and every story I get to tell is unique and I truly enjoy sharing all of the little pieces that together form this beautiful relationship.
I am currently booking weddings for 2013 and 2014, so please get in touch below to start the journey of documenting your love.
This is so sweet and Tank’s mom will always have lovely photos of her beautiful baby, thoughts to Lindsay.
