Matt Damon showed his chivalrous side on Tuesday when he treated his wife to dinner.

But the actor was in such a hurry to get inside the restaurant, he left Luciana to feed the parking meter.

Matt clearly wanted to get into Tavern restaurant in Brentwood as quickly as possible to avoid getting recognised.

So he rushed ahead, clutching a wad of cash while his better half made sure they had paid for their parking.

It was a low-key date for the pair, who married in 2005, as they both dressed casually.

Matt wore a white shirt, jeans and black boots, with spectacles and a baseball cap helping him go incognito.

Meanwhile Luciana wore a baggy black button-down top, ripped jeans and flip flops.

The Argentine-born beauty wore her dark hair in a ponytail and covered her face with sunglasses.

The Elysium star, 43, met Luciana in Miami where she was working as a bartender. They married in New York eight years ago.

The couple have three daughters together, and Luciana has a fourth daughter from a previous relationship.

Matt was enjoying a brief break while gearing up for the release his hotly anticipated new movie Monuments Men.

The actor stars alongside George Clooney in the project, which sees them take on the roles of heroic curators as they attempt to recover precious artwork stolen by the Nazis during World War II.

The Hollywood A-listers join a stellar line-up of stars in the historic film, based on the book The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves And The Greatest Treasure Hunt In History by Robert M. Edsel.

Cate Blanchett, Hugh Bonneville and Bill Murray also star.

The Monuments Men is scheduled for release in the U.S. on February 7, and in the UK on February 14.

Latest project: Matt can be seen in Monuments Men with George Clooney, out February 7 in the US and February 14 in the UK

Jeez, how many times do we have to hear the same old tale of how they met, where they're from, how long they've been married, what they're wearing, etc., etc., etc. Bring something new to the table! And btw, Matt is my favourite actor.

Of course she is going to feed the meter since she will have the loose change. Just leave them alone and stop making snide comments.
