'We are not involved in running Kardashian Beauty': Sisters file their own suit after make-up company is charged with federal court violation

Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian are denying they had anything to do with the court violation that lead to changing the name of their debut make-up line from Khroma to Kardashian Beauty.

After Boldface Group Inc, the makeup company that owns Kardashian Beauty, violated a federal court injunction for its original name Khroma, the sisters are now distancing themselves from the company.

According to Radar Online, the Kardashian sisters filed their own suit on December 16, 2013, claiming they 'are not involved in running Boldface — they are not part of its management, nor are they agents, employees, officers or directors of Boldface.'

Expensive task: All of the Khroma Beauty products will now need to be recalled and repackaged

The Khroma rebrand was made in March last year to end an eight month-long trademark dispute between Bolface and a Florida-based company called Kroma Makeup, which sought $10million in damages.

The long-running saga started in June 2012 when Lee Tillett, the founder of Kroma Makeup, sent a cease-and-desist letter to Boldface accusing it of 'stealing' the name.

Ms Tillett set up her company in 2004 and trademarked the name Kroma - which apparently means 'colour' in Greek - six years later.

In the legal case she sought $10million in damages, claiming that the sister's company, for which they were set to make at least $6.2million, would cause confusion in the marketplace.

And it appeared that those leading the case agreed. Ms Tillett was eventually granted a federal injunction to stop Boldface from distributing the Khroma line, despite the fact an array of beauty products had already been produced, promoted and were ready to hit more than 5,000 retailers across the U.S.

In an attempt to distance themselves from the saga, the Kardashians new court documents claim that the sisters 'have no involvement in deciding when particular products should be distributed, or where they should be distributed — those decisions are all made by Boldface alone.'

In addition, the Kardashians state they 'understand that any violation of the Court’s Orders is a very serious matter,' and request that a motion for summary judgment be put on the calendar to clear up whether 'the Kardashians are proper parties in this case.'

Wasn't it Kim that got sued by "No,No" for her commercial and then was quoted as saying that she does not use the product? The girls running away is exactly what they do....throw enough money at a problem and it will go away, this is what happens when spoiled rich kids try to act like adults, they don't have the ability to do so considering that their father allegedly cleaned up the OJ crime scene before the police arrived....shady, shady, shady.
