Basking in attention! Doting father Simon Cowell takes break from parenting duties with puppies and bevy of female fans

He is a proud father who welcomed his newborn son into the world earlier this month.
But that didn’t stop Simon Cowell from basking in the attention of his two dogs and a group of attractive female fans.
The 54-year-old star took time out from parenting duties to relax on Bal Harbor beach in Miami.

He was accompanied by his puppies, Squiddly and Diddly, which were adopted last October as he and Lauren prepared for the birth of his first child.
The music mogul was also surrounded by a number of bikini-clad female admirers, who looked delighted to meet the star.
Simon looked ever-obliging, flashing a beaming smile and enjoying being centre of attention as the group took pictures on their phones.

It’s reported that Simon will raise his firstborn son, Eric, between the United States and the United Kingdom.
The new dad reportedly plans to divide his time between homes in Manhattan, where Lauren is based, and his own native London.
The media mogul quietly put one of his two properties in Los Angeles up for sale six months ago, with a source telling the Daily Star, 'He's downsizing. He doesn't need two LA pads.'

While he purchased the sprawling property in Beverly Hills' coveted Trousdale Estates for a reported $15.5 million back in December 2011, he actually never lived in the home.
Last year, he was said to be planning to move his then-pregnant girlfriend into the house once her divorce from husband Andrew Silverman was settled, however, she chose to remain away from prying eyes in the Hamptons instead.
The lovingly restored four-bedroom, six-bathroom house, which was designed by famed architect Hal Levitt in 1966 and features a screening room among other high-end inclusions, is approximately 7,265 square feet and sits on more than half an acre of land.

Meanwhile, Cheryl Cole reportedly flew to London for a recent lunch meeting with Simon and the makers of the X Factor, where she’s said to have assured them she wants to return to the show.
A source told The Mirror: ‘Her return is now 99 per cent concluded. The meeting was a case of tying up some loose ends and things went really well.’
Simon is currently the only judge who is confirmed to be returning to the show, with Cheryl Cole, Louis Walsh and Rita Ora tipped to join him.

The dogs are cute.. I love them.. but has anyone else noticed that we see simon and co spending more time with the dogs than baby eric??
Simon seems to be so sweet and into his little boy - but this circus can only be a photo opportunity - perhaps to satisfy Lauren. Most men don't know what to do with a baby and are not too involved until they are older when they smile and adore Daddy and want to do things - so really he must be bored and raring to get back to work. Dads take leave to help the mother but in this case she has all the help and attention she needs and should be introducing the newborn to his big brother so he doesn't feel he is being replaced.
