They're playing love interests who are thrown together on a chance meeting in new movie Man Up.

And Simon Pegg appeared to have positively ticked his co-star Lake Bell pink as they kicked back during a break from filming on the set of the British rom-com in central London on Tuesday morning.

The 44-year-old actor appeared to have brought his best chat with him as they pair wandered around the rainy streets, with the duo grinning from ear-to-ear as they fell about giggling like a pair of giddy teenagers.

In Man Up, Lake is playing a single woman named Nancy, who is mistaken for a stranger's blind date.

The chance meeting occurs en route to her alter-ego's parents' anniversary celebrations, and results in her meeting her perfect man.

Penned by Tess Morris, the script for the romantic comedy made 2011's coveted Brit List, a compilation of of cinema-worthy films in need of collaborators.

Ben Palmer, known for his work on The Inbetweeners Movie, is ditecting the Big Talk Productions and Studio Canal movie.

Lake most-recently directed, wrote, produced and starred in indie comedy In a World, which won the Waldo Salt screenwriting award at the Sundance Film Festival.

The actress is currently starring in Million Dollar Arm with Jon Hamm, out later this year, and has recently finished shooting The Coup with Owen Wilson.

Meanwhile, Simon is best-known for his hit films Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World's End.
