I managed to get my raspberry pi set up with emulation station and a few roms.
It was working perfectly for at least a few hours. My housemate and I played a game of Mario kart and it was flawless.
So I thought to myself “yay it’s working, now I need to show it off to someone”.
I packed it up and took it over to a friend’s house and set it all up there to show it off. As soon as I had a play with it I noticed something was wrong. It worked but the input was very laggy to say the least. I figured it must just have been the game itself that was having issues. I tried all the games that had previously worked 100% but they all suffered from delayed input (maybe 0.5 seconds between keypress and action.). So I tried checking the overclocking rate of my pi and set it to 1ghtz again just to be sure. The pi then failed to boot giving me 6 flashes on the “ok” light indicating that things were not ok.
This is how my pi is right now. I haven’t tried to boot it since. I have however discovered that if you hold down the space key on a keyboard attached to the pi while booting it overwrites the overclocking settings. I’ll be giving this a go soon.
