Chris Hemsworth had joined his very pregnant wife Elsa Pataky at the Academy Awards on Sunday but when it came to the after party, he had a boys' night out with his brothers.

The dazzling couple wowed on the red carpet, with Elsa, 37, proving that a baby bump is the ultimate accessory in the right evening gown.

But the expectant mother of twins called it a night early and Chris, 30, joined his brothers Liam, 24, and Luke, 32, at the Vanity Fair Oscar after party.

Gorgeous family: Elsa and Chris already have a 21-month-old daughter but are expecting their twins very soon

The three Australian brothers looked ready to party, all dressed up in dapper suits, with Chris even sporting a bow tie.

All three brothers are actors, but while Chris and Liam being household names in Hollywood, Luke is more well known in his home country for being on Australian soap opera Neighbours.

The Hunger Games star Liam has become just as famous for his relationship with Miley Cyrus as his film career, but after becoming engaged to the singer in 2012, they then split in 2013.

Liam is very much a family man and is the ambassador of the Australian Childhood Foundation on the side.

He has previously said: 'I have the best parents you can have. They have worked in child protection for 20 years and have only ever given me encouragement and support.

'The world is a scary enough place as it is for children. It is important that home should always be a safe place for them.'

Meanwhile, Chris is rapidly expanding his own family, with baby number two and three on the way as the couple await the arrival of their twins.

He already has a 21-month-old daughter named India with is wife, Spanish actress Elsa.

Luke has also been married since 2007 and has four children with his partner.

The boys' night out at the Vanity Fair party was all about Hollywood though and they joined stars such as Sofia Vergara, Bruce Willis and Adam Levine at the event.

God, even pregnant with twins she looks so little and dainty. She's absolutely glowing - but is it any wonder, with a husband that gorgeous! Lucky lady. And what I wouldn't give to be with Liam... the effect those Hemsworths have on the female gender!
