Chelsea Handler has made a living off being outrageous, but on Sunday many think she went too far.

As a guest on the Huffington Post's Twitter account during the Oscar telecast, the Chelsea Lately talk show host took pot shots at 12 Years A Slave star Lupita Nyong'o.

When she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, the 39-year-old tweeted, '#AngelinaJolie just filed adoption papers #lupitanyongo #Oscars -@chelseahandler.'

Chelsea later defended herself on Good Morning America by saying: 'I’m not racist. I date a lot of black people, so that would be a difficult thing to explain to them.'

Handler was quickly called 'disgraceful,' 'offensive' and 'racist' by fellow tweeters.

After 12 Years a Slave - which was produced by her best friend Jennifer Aniston's ex-husband Brad Pitt - won Best Picture, the E! star tweeted a bad tasted ad for her book Uganda Be Kidding Me, by saying "Congratulations #12yearsaslave Go to Africa or buy #ugandabekiddingme http://amzn.to/1de1ka9 #aheadofthecurve #Oscars.'

12 Years A Slave is not about Africa, but rather concerns a real life American civilian who was forced to work as a slave.

Handler has long trashed Jolie and she has been accused of having an agenda to get revenge for Aniston. Brad divorced the Friends star in 2005 after meeting Jolie on Mr And Mrs Smith.

In March 2013 Handler explained her hatred of Jolie, who she has publicly called 'a f***ing c**t.'

'She seems like a demon,' Handler said on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live of Angelina, who has won an honorary Oscar for her humanitarian efforts.

'It has nothing to do with Jennifer. As a woman, I know when you see somebody walking across the room that's a bad girl. I just don't like Angelina Jolie. I don't think she's a girl's girl. I like girl's girls!' she added.

On the May 2012 cover of More magazine, she insisted Jolie 'doesn't strike me as someone I would have a close friendship with.'

And again in a 2010 Glamour interview with Katie Couric in 2010, Handler said, 'Yeah, I'm not a fan hers. She just doesn't come off to me as a sincere woman. She seems like a woman that you'd really want to avoid.'

As far as Handler's remarks, The Huffington Post has already reacted.

Their senior executive director Perri Dorset said 'the site was upfront about the Twitter feed takeover and has invited celebrities to do so in the past.'

He added, 'The views are theirs not ours.'

Handler's tome, Uganda Be Kidding Me, which she plugged several times on Sunday, covers her many travels not just to Africa, but also Germany and the Bahamas.

On Amazon, the book is summed up as an 'uproarious collection' of stories that 'sneaks her sharp wit through airport security and delivers her most absurd and hilarious stories ever.'

It's added: 'On safari in Africa, it's anyone's guess as to what's more dangerous: the wildlife or Chelsea. But whether she's fumbling the seduction of a guide by not knowing where tigers live (Asia, duh) or wearing a bathrobe into the bush because her clothes stopped fitting seven margaritas ago, she's always game for the next misadventure.'

I'm sorry but Chelsea has a point, when it comes to jolie being a girl's girl, there's something about her.. she comes acrros as a woman who wouldn't get along with other women as close friends, jolie even addmited herself that she doesn't have any girlfriends, only brad. she made sure the past few years to get people to think of her as a perfect saint (so any comment that suggests other wise gets attacked). no one knows how she really is behind close doors, only what she wants people to see, read and hear about her. if a woman can't get along with other women as good friends it says alot about her - doesn't matter who she is. and just for the record, this has got nothing to do with her work worldwide.

She can wail all she wants about Angie or Lupita the thing is (and will ever be) that she will never play in the same league as them. And she will get angrier and angrier because she keeps talking about Angie and Angie isn't even acknowledging her. Handler is just a pathetic and bitter woman.
