He earned millions from his days as Beyonce's manager.

But Mathew Knowles has succeeded in getting his child support payment slashed due to his dwindling income.

The legal maneuver came as it emerged he had skipped yet another month of payments to Alexsandra Wright, the mother of his four-year-old son Nixon.

According to TMZ, he claimed in court he pulled in $127K in 2013, a far cry from the $3M a year he earned as his daughter's manager.

He also claimed that while income is vastly reduced he still has sizable expenses of  $51,000 a month, and he is having to liquid assets to make up the shortfall.

A family court judge decided to reduce his child support to $2,485 a month.

According to child support records seen by Radar, Knowles owes $44,289.32 as of March 1, which has caused the State of California to prepare preparing to file contempt charges.

An insider said: 'The state’s file is mostly prepared. He has now been served with several documents regarding cases being opened from various agencies.'

Alexsandra laid into him during a TV interview last month, claiming he had never even met his son, telling Inside Edition's Jim Moret: 'You've seen more of my son than he has.'

It previously emerged she was using 'food stamps to survive' after it was revealed he owed $32,135,90 in child support.

At the time he slammed reports that he owed money, with sources close to the music manager told claiming messed up paperwork was to blame for the dispute.

In 2009, Beyonce's mother Tina filed for divorce from Mathew after he reportedly had an affair with Alexsandra, who fell pregnant and requested a paternity test.

Beyonce, 32, and sister Solange, 27, didn't attend their father's wedding when he re-married earlier this year, tying the knot with former model Gena Charmaine Avery in Houston, Texas in June.

If Beyonce's dad is having financial struggles do to him fathering a child outside of his marriage to her mom; being disloyal not only to Bey's mom, but to the family, why should she help him out? Beyonce' and her sister probably felt betrayed and hurt. I know I would have. Yes, her father supported her career and has made millions return. He has been repaid. ...Debt paid in full. Also, I know it may sound harsh, but I feel no sorrow for this woman. She knew what she was getting into. She brought this on herself. There was no one she could find to have a child with and marry- to have a family of her own? Why bring a child into this world under those circumstances? Not fair for the child.

It just blows my mind how often I read in the paper about celebrities getting off after breaking laws that us mere morals would go to jail for. This man's daughter and son-in-law are the wealthiest in the entertainment business and HE gets a break? Can someone enlighten me as to how this is logical?

It was her decision to have the baby. Why should it be up to the sperm donor to pay for the kids welfare. There should be a law protecting unwanted fathers being pursued for maintenance. They have a right NOT to be a father, the same way a woman has the right to abort or proceed with a pregnancy.

You pay you play. Every time you have sex with a chick you have the risk for pregnancy. Men cannot become pregnant, so unfortunately for you there is no way for you to regulate what happens to a pregnancy. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU SLEEP WITH.

Actually, when women want abortion rights then they do have a choice. Sorry this is not the 16th century! If she didn;t wan to get pregnant she wouldn't have. I'm a woman and I hate it when some women think they can have it both ways. Abortion and getting a man to pay up if you fall pregnant.

I feel for the little boy. But his mother spread her legs for a married man thinking she was going to ride the high life off of the man's daughter.

It's quite simple..the man needs to stop living in his daughters limelight, get a proper job and support his child in the correct manner, its not rocket science!
