And Olivia Palermo enlisted the services of her rather dapper fiancé Johannes Huebl as she attended the Valentino Paris Fashion Week AW14 showcase on Tuesday afternoon.

Making for a rather chic twosome, the couple - who got engaged in December - looked the absolute epitome of effortless elegance as they mingled with the great and good of the sartorial world on the front row.

Ensuring he certainly didn't let his stylish lady down in the sartorial stakes, German model Johannes looked every inch the dapper dude in a dark suit and a black wool coat that was tailored to perfection.

Johannes popped the question to Olivia, his girlfriend of six years, on New Year's Eve in St Barts, and recently admitted he is letting his wife-to-be take her time as she prepares to plan their wedding.

Speaking to Vanity Fair of the proposal, he said: 'It couldn’t be any more romantic. I think it was a hole in one. She didn’t know, and she liked the ring a lot.

'And obviously, it was all dark, she couldn’t see it, but she just fell into my arms. It was lovely; it was amazing.'

'I think she wants to have some time planning the whole thing. You know how women are. It's the big moment. I'll let her have all the time she needs.'

Valentino's AW14 showcase, with Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli at the helm, featured full-length frocks in Valentino's trademark crimson, stunning sheer gowns emblazoned with blowsy roses and garments dotted with delicate hummingbirds.
