We're used to seeing her in a suit jacket, but TV veteran Sandra Sully certainly has more fun with her wardrobe when off-duty.

The Channel Ten news anchor was showing some skin at the Veuve Clicquot Business Women Network Cocktail party this week.

The 49-year-old long-time journalist turned heads in a black leather singlet with skinny straps and a pink floral print asymmetric skirt.

The on-trend look was no doubt a welcome change from the business garb Sully usually wears in the television studio.

The news anchor has been a long term supporter of the awards and said: 'I hosted the first two of three luncheons. I've been a long term supporter and it's a great event.'

Sully was joined by Lisa Wilkinson, Sally Obermeder and Magdalena Roze among others at the event held just prior to International Women's Day on March 8.

Joining television's best and brightest at Sydney's stunning Royal Botanic Gardens Restaurant were Sass and Bide fashion designers Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton, Model Co cosmetics mogul Shelley Barrett and plenty more successful Australian women.

The Today Show host Lisa Wilkinson looked fresh despite the party being held well past the breakfast host's bed time.

Wilkinson wore a fitted black dress with a sheer lace neckline and cap-sleeve, which she paired with a metallic clutch and nude pumps.

Joining Sandra from Channel Ten was meteorologist Magdalena Roze. The blonde wore a stunning graphic print frock with a sweetheart neckline, her pulled back off her face in a chic up-do.

Veteran Sydney stylists Middleton and Clarke both wore fashion-forward looks.

Heidi chose a black textured bustier, which she paired with pants and a sheer floral skirt overlay.

Sarah-Jane wore a similarily complex outfit of jacket, bustier and sheer skirt.

The two women behind Sass and Bide spoke to the crowd about the work that they are doing to support the Ethical Fashion Initiative.

The duo has teamed up with the International Trade Centre and the United Nations agency to help empower women, working directly with East African Artisans to create projects and industries that allows them to support their immediate families and greater communities.

The Veuve Clicquot Inspiring Women event is held each year in honour of Madame Clicquot, the world’s first female entrepreneur.
