She was rumoured to be pregnant after bowing out of recent red carpet appearances with husband Justin Timberlake.

And now Jessica Biel has apparently been talking to a birth guru.

Latham Thomas, who runs the pregnancy website Mama Glow, tweeted Thursday, 'Highlight of my night - speaking about natural birth, home birth, & doulas with Justin Timberlake @jtimberlake & @jessicabiel'.

But when asked whether the tweet meant the couple were expecting, Latham replied:

'We know she isn't pregnant! She's a supporter of natural birth, doulas, and midwives. We talked about it for hours.'

Jessica was a presenter at Sunday's Oscars and she didn't look to be pregnant in her figure-hugging dress.

Meanwhile, the actress turned 32 on Monday, and appears to be feeling a bit of trepidation at growing older.

Jessica called herself 'close to middle aged' in a Tweet after Justin treated her to a lavish birthday dinner in Miami.

'Thanks for the birthday love! You guys know how to make a girl feel good. Or woman, I guess... Or close to middle aged woman? Ah, forget it,' she wrote on Tuesday.

The previous night, Jessica allegedly jetted into Miami, where Justin threw her a birthday dinner in a wine cellar at restaurant the Forge, one of Justin's favourite restaurants, according to People.

'The group entered the restaurant around 9pm through the front door and walked directly to the secluded wine cellar,' an onlooker told the magazine. 'It is one of the prettiest places to have a party you can imagine.'

Justin surprised his wife with an Italian wedding cake made for her by the chef as Justin serenaded her with a happy birthday.

The couple looked 'happy and comfortable' during their dinner, a source told the publication.

Justin was in town for a performance as part of his 20/20 Experience World Tour.
