Leah Remini started filming her own reality television show on Wednesday that will feature her whole family, personal assistant and British nanny.

The 43-year-old King Of Queens star has been given 12 half-hour episode slots by TLC for her untitled programme.

Nancy Daniels, TLC's manager, said: 'Leah is a no-nonsense, hard-working, relatable mum, wife, daughter, and sister. Her sharp humour and unfiltered family are a perfect match for the network.'

The star, who publicly quit Scientology last year, will be joined by her husband of 10 years, Angelo.

Their feisty nine-year-old daughter Sofia who 'isn't afraid to keep her parents in check' also will be a regular.

The cameras also will capture Leah's opinionated mother Vicky Marshall and her unconventional father George Remini.

It also will feature her sister Nicole and the family communicating in a secret coded language.

The show will feature cameo appearances from Leah's housekeeper and personal assistant and Sofia's impatient British nanny.

Leah hit the headlines last year after she dumped her religious organisation following years of alleged abuse for questioning the actions of the Scientology leader David Miscavige.

The Dancing With The Stars contestant has been determined to ensure people see her for who she really is, rather than just her falling out with Scientology.

She told Buzzfeed last week: 'I don't want to be known as this bitter, ex-Scientologist.'

The pretty brunette also said she decided to leave the church because Sofia was approaching her tenth birthday when Scientology auditing begins.

Well, there's a simple solution, do like I do and don't watch them!

Woah. Are you serious? She is a wonderful comedy actress, and has a husband and daughter. What the hell is wrong inside your head that you're wishing death on her?

It's clear: she cannot get any more roles on TV and in films, but is not prepared to get a "normal" job. What do you do then - you sell your family and your soul and do a "reality" show. She is however one ex-star I really feel sorry for because I've always liked her and "King of Queens" is one of my favourite sitcoms of all times. Too bad.

When will the so called "reality" shows end? Doesn't anyone in Hollywood have an innovative or a creative idea?

Relatable? She has a nanny and a PA, so no not relatable to the majority.
