And the Belgian says City, who remain on course for a domestic treble, will never take success for granted.

‘This victory means a lot to the fans; it means a lot to us,’ he said.

‘There is nothing better than lifting a trophy. It is an incredible feeling.

‘But one thing at a time. Bear in mind for our club it is a new trophy, a new experience. I want everybody to cherish it, first of all.

‘It should give us the confidence and make us believe we can still win trophies, and we need to believe for the rest of the season.

‘But these experiences don't happen too many times. We will cherish every single one.’

What a final. Thats what comes of a decent ticket allocation. The FA should take note re the FA Cup Final and give more fans of the two participating teams a chance to attend. Well done the fane of City and the Mackens

That is pretty typical for sports teams in general all the way down to the college level in America. The reality of it in this case is that it's whatever sponsor pays the most (Hugo Boss or Nike).

Happy for the fans of MCFC, but how times have changed, thinking back to the Lisbon Lions (Celtic) in the 1967 European Cup Final that from a sqaud of 15 players 14 were born within 10 miles of Celtic Park, and the starting eleven all Scottish.

Its a Moneycity team. If no Sheikh... MC is nowhere near any top 6 teams and would be fighting for relegation. With this kind of investment, no surprise no surprise....
