For Johnny Depp looked delighted as he escorted his beautiful fiancée Amber Heard down the red carpet on Thursday.

The 50-year-old Hollywood legend joined the 27-year-old in Austin, where she was honoured with a trophy at the Texas Film Awards.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star kept it typically scruffy and alternative, however, whilst his Texan beauty amped up the elegance to receive the award in her home state, flashing the enormous diamond on her ring finger with pride.

Amber dazzled in a retro-inspired black dress, featuring a low plunging neckline and high slit in the front, embellished with tassels and embroidered flowers.

She used a deep, luminous shade of red on her lips and nails, matching the colour of her chic heels - as well as the carpet.

Her blonde tresses were pulled back into an elegant up-do, with simplistic silver earrings as her only bling aside from the giant diamond on her left hand.

There was no mistaking her engagement ring, which took centrestage on her left hand.

The actress seemed more than happy to flash her sparkler as she posed for the shutterbugs before being honoured at the festival.

Johnny dressed himself up in a classy suit and threw a full length black trench coat over the top for extra warmth on the wintery evening.

The ageing hipster star wore a couple of necklaces over the ensemble and topped things off with his usual shades and an oversized postman's cap, slung to the side.

And in an effort not to appear too 'done', he slipped into a scuffed pair of boots for the fancy occasion.

Amber and Johnny made their first outing as an engaged couple at the 3 Days to Kill premiere in LA on February 12.

Heard plays sexy FBI agent Vivi Delay in the action thriller with Kevin Costner and Hailee Steinfeld.

In July, Amber opened up a bit about their relationship. 'It's not part of my professional life,' Heard said firmly in Flare magazine.

I agree with a lot of comments made that they just don't seem to have any chemistry together. I can't say why it looks different it just does. I just have a feeling that she is the one pulling his strings. I don't care either way but he's the big star and she is basically a pretty nobody.

Johnny as much as I admire you your too old to pull off the cool 'don't need to make an effort look' your dirty shoes and flat cap make you look like a homeless person lucky enough to be having a picture taken with a beautiful young actress. As your with a woman way younger than yourself it may be wise to take more time with your appearance and have a bit more respect than to turn up in scruffy shoes!
