She's known for making daring fashion statements. But it seems she's turned back time for her latest outing.

Sarah Jessica Parker debuted her shoe line SJP on Saturday wearing a pair of charcoal stirrup leggings and a very pink dress.

The 48-year-old smiled as she greeted fans at the Aventura Mall near Miami in her fuchsia lace frock with a white blouse underneath.

The throwback legwear showcased a pair of T-strap pumps - aptly named 'Carrie' - from her collection, which is exclusively sold in Nordstrom stores around the country.

The petite actress kept her hair and makeup simple so it didn't compete with the clothes.

A bevy of fans can be seen waiting in line to have the Sex and the City star sign shoes and boxes.

The icing on her Miami area appearance was a specially designed confection by Divine Delicacies Custom Cakes that featured delicious replicas of five of her shoes.

Sarah has been on the road promoting the collection.

On Thursday, she made an appearance at the Grove shopping center in Los Angeles before jetting to Chicago for Friday's promotion.

The busy star has already landed in the final destination of her Nordstrom blitz.

'Oh my goodness! who can I thank for dinner at MiCocina in Dallas? anyone? anyone? x, sj,' she tweeted just hours after her Florida jaunt.

The high-end chain doesn't have an outlet in New York City yet. So, to remedy that, the store had a pop-up shop, which gave fans three days to check out the collection.

In addition to shoes, the line includes handbags and a trench coat in two colours.

Each pair of shoes has a name. However, she admitted she found it tough to choose the perfect moniker.

Sarah told Harper's Bazaar: 'I think it’s nice to connect with the shoe, but I would agonise over every name. There were a lot of shoes to be named, and I took it extremely seriously.'

The Golden Globes winner told HauteLiving.com that the shoes were inspired 'by the late 70s and the mod resistance of New York , Charles Jourdan, Bennis And Edwards and countless others that were prominently a part of the New York shoe business.'

And she shared that she still has all of Carrie's iconic pieces of footwear.

'I still have all those shoes - anything I've ever worn in any movie or television show in my life is archived - but I really don't shop that much.'

The actress has been married to Matthew Broderick for 16 years. They have three children, 11-year-old James and four-year-old twins Marion and Tabitha.

Really, she's such a lovely woman, but she seems to insist upon wearing clothes that don't flatter her. Perhaps she should hire a style consultant.

I've always thought that she looks extremely older than she says she is. Her voice is doesn't quite match her appearance either, I was shocked when I first heard it.

Why is everyone offended by SJP's outfit? Is she exposing herself in any way, that a woman her age shouldn't? No extremely short skirts or skimpy outfits. Quite covered up, in fact. SJP loves fashion & she loves experimenting, so what do you expect? LOVE HER!!

I've no idea why everyone always calls her a fashionista?! She has probably the worst dress sense I have EVER seen. She gets it wrong EVERY time! And she is so unattractive.
