Minnie Driver has flaunted her amazing bikini body on other trips to the ocean.

Even a toned and tough beauty such as Minnie knew when it was time to get out of the sun as she displayed during a fun day at the beach in Malibu, California with her son Henry.

Minnie, 44, escaped the heat and the direct sunlight by huddling in the shade of a big blue umbrella as well as a fetching fedora and big-framed sunglasses.

The Good Will Hunting star kept her toned physique covered as well, wearing a loosely fitting white smock over her swimsuit.

Minnie's five-year-old son Henry, who shares the British actress' fair complexion, sported signs of sun too judging by those pink cheeks.

Henry wore a blue T-shirt over his swimming trunks and stayed close to his mom and their friends.

Minnie made sure Henry stayed hydrated by handing him a sippy juice packet.

The actress and singer - who is about to release her third album - proudly gushed that her son has shown an appreciation for music too.

'He's a musician too, he sings and plays the piano. I can't wait to see what he is in life, apart from perfect,' Minnie told Us Weekly, adding: 'We have a lot of outdoor adventures. He can boogie board and surf.'

While she says she would love to give Henry a sibling, Minnie feels her age might be a problem.

'I'd love another baby. But I'm so lucky I have one at all. I'm quite elderly now,' she quipped.

Minnie also plays a mother in the NBC series About A Boy, and gets along wonderfully with her onscreen son Ben Stockham, 13.

'I love hanging out with Ben,' Minnie told Us Weekly. 'Our friendship really shows on-screen. He's a character and he's very smart and very funny, he likes to show me his art.'
