They spontaneously tied the knot just three months ago.

And Christian Slater and new wife Brittany Lopez seem to be enjoying the first flushes of married life together.

The 44-year-old actor was seen sharing a kiss with his 26-year-old partner on the streets of New York on Monday.

The pair seemed to be very affectionate toward one another as they were out walking their dog in the Big Apple.

Christian went casual on the outing wearing a grey sweater, blue jeans, and a pair of black leather boots.

He accessorized the look with a cap on his head, sunglasses on his face, and a pair of spectacles hanging on the collar of his sweater.

Meanwhile Brittany looked stylish on the occasion as she donned a grey knit sweater over a black mini-dress and a pair of knee-high suede boots.

She teamed the chic look with a large leopard print purse and black sunglasses as she wore her dark, wavy locks down.

The couple tied the knot in December at a courthouse in Clark Gables, Florida at the spur of the moment.

A spokesperson for the True Romance star told People.com that the couple spontaneously decided to get married after they initially went to the Coral Gables District Court near Miami to get their marriage licence.

The pair announced they were engaged last February, two months after they celebrated at a huge party for family and friends last December.

Hopefully, Christian - who was previously married to Ryan Haddon before divorcing in 2007 - has been enjoying married life enough to not follow up on the ratings of his new show Mind Games.

The ABC drama debuted on February 25 to 3.6 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in the crucial 18-49 demographic, which slid to a 0.6 rating last Tuesday.

Other than his network show, Christian has two completed film projects that are set to come out this year: thriller Way Of The Wicked and drama Undiscovered Gyrl.

When the age gap is the other way around you have TOY BOY splashed across the headline every single time (even when the woman is only a year or two older). Why the double standard? Give them a 'name' or stop altogether with the judgement. Or is it okay for old men to date women decades younger without being labelled but not for a woman to date a man a year or two younger??
