Ariel Winter's friends will be pea-green with envy when they see her in that fine set of wheels.

The 16-year-old Modern Family star just bought herself a first car - a new, shiny black and fully loaded Mercedes C350 that cost her to the tune of $50,000.

Ariel was beyond excited and took to her Twitter page to share the news with her fans and friends.

'With my new bae,' Ariel wrote, using slang for 'babe' and posting a picture of herself standing next to the car and looking hip in black jeans and T-shirt with a spirited graphic of a skull and cross bones.

Ariel even threw out a plug to the dealership, adding: 'Thank you SO much @mbkeysmb! Super excited to have this @mbusa beauty. Everyone go see Matthew Borlenghi at Keys European in Van Nuys! #firstcar #mercedes #lucky #thankful #mybaby'

The perky teenager brought her sister Shanelle Workman to help her pick out the perfect car, according to TMZ.

Paying for the luxury vehicle was no problem, as Ariel apparently wired the total amount of $50,000 to the dealership, TMZ reported.

And Ariel's father Glenn helped his star daughter to sign all the necessary paperwork.

Glenn has publicly backed Shanelle's bid for permanent guardianship of Ariel over that of her mother.

Ariel - who has been estranged from her mother Chrystal since 2012 after accusing her of physical and emotional abuse - leveled some harsh words to her brother Jimmy who has sided with her mom.

In a text obtained by TMZ, Ariel told Jimmy, 'How dare you say you miss me. If you really wanted to see anyone and cared, you'd do a 180.'

Ariel went on to say that too much damage has been done to ever return to the way things were.

'I'm sorry, what we've been through can't be fixed,' she concludes.

$50,000 IS a lot of money, but is actually only Â£30,051 and for a really nice car is actually pretty reasonable. Considering most stars her age just get a new $150,000 Mercedes M Class every time they crash I'd say she's doing okay. Plus she works hard for that money - love her!

She works hard, no doubt. However, I do think that this is where it all goes wrong for a lot of young Hollywood stars. Too much, too soon. $50,000,- is A LOT of money for a 16 year-old girl, barely out of nappies.
