The acclaimed star, who rose to fame for her performance in Beasts of the Southern Wild, will play the orphan character alongside Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx.

Will Smith and Jay Z will be directing the movie - which is set to be released Christmas 2014 - while acclaimed director Will Gluck is also on board.

TMZ have reported the 10-year-old will get, in addition to her base salary and bonus, 5% of the profits from the movie, 5% of profits from all merchandising and 10% of all sound track album royalties.

Acclaimed actor Jamie Foxx will also star in the project as Daddy Warbucks and 40 year-old Cameron will take on the iconic role of Miss Hannigan.

Despite Cameron and Jamie’s several decades of experience in Hollywood, it has been claimed that 10-year-old Q’s name cannot be lower than second position in the title credits.

This would be the young actress will usurp either Charlie’s Angels star Cameron or Django actor Jamie to second place in the movie.

Another rule in her contract is that Q’s trailer has unlimited wi-fi – despite the star’s Twitter account being managed by her mother and father.

It says on the IAmQuvenzhane account: ‘Since she is 9, account is managed by her parents.’

Another condition is that the youngster gets to veto any mistakes or out-takes before they’re released with the movie and that when she promotes the movie the producers need to give her three dresses to choose from to wear – with one caveat, she can’t sell or lend the garment to anyone.

And finally, TMZ are reporting that Quvenzhane’s people have negotiated the use of the young stars image when it comes to promoting the movie.

Her image can be used to promote the film but not the sale of alcohol, tobacco, firearms, feminine hygine products, pharmaceuticals or gambling - with just one exception, her face can appear on a Japanese arcade game called Pachinko.

It doesn 't look like a good film. But, it might be, since Cameron Diaz is in it. Q must have a really good Hollywood agent, good for her.
