Is Simon Cowell planning to pit members of one of America’s most successful bands against each other?

The mogul has approached Fergie – singer in the Black Eyed Peas – about becoming a judge on The  X Factor.

The ITV show has only ever been rivalled by the BBC’s almost identical The Voice – judged by Fergie’s bandmate will.i.am.

Sascha says his legendary photographer dad has already been booked for the gig in the autumn.

Art curator Sascha, whose bride-to-be is an investment consultant called Tina, said: ‘It will be great to have my dad do the photography, you can’t really get  much better.’

Bailey Jnr also said that his father is not concerned about him marrying at such a young age. He said: ‘He wanted to wait to make sure that we were right for one another, but he has said how happy he is for us.’

Mick Jagger’s ex-wife Jerry Hall has confessed she worries about her children on the dating scene.

Jerry, in a new relationship with Imperial College professor Armand Leroi, told of her fears for Elizabeth, 30, James, 28, Georgia, 22, and Gabriel, 16, at a fundraiser for the Terrence Higgins Trust.

‘I am concerned about the risk of my children being exposed to HIV, because back in the day I lost so many friends to  the disease,’ the 57-year-old Texan said at the Christie’s auction.

She yesterday hosted a joint baby shower for step-daughter Jade, 42, and her step-granddaughter Assisi, 21.

Both are pregnant and due within weeks of each other.

The Monty Python stage show  reunion will feature plenty of dancing choreographed by former Strictly judge Arlene Phillips – but don’t expect backflips from Michael Palin, John Cleese, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam and Eric Idle when it opens at London’s O2 Arena in July.

‘We’re all a bit past that now and John has had a hip replacement,’ Palin, 70, said at the Orion authors party last week.

‘We’re going to have lots of young fit people dancing instead to entertain the audience.’
