She has flown in to support her fiance Jenson Button at the Australian Grand Prix.

But Jessica Michibata still found the time to keep up her rigorous fitness regime In Melbourne this weekend, posting two Instagram snaps which displayed just how flexible she is.

The 28-year-old Japanese model even managed to take a selfie in the gym mirror as she stretched her leg above her head while holding her ankle with one hand.

Astonishingly, she didn't end up face first on the mat.

Jessica, a yoga fan who works out religiously, captioned the first image 'Hehe I love #stretching (and these leggings)'.

By the second shot - a marginally less wince-inducing pose involving a weights rack - she wrote: 'Give yourself a big stretch guys!! #workout #gym'.

In an interview with Esquire earlier this year, she conceded that keeping her body in shape did not come easily.

Asked what she does to stay in shape, she said replied: 'I work out, like almost every day. I go to the gym, I do yoga. Oh, and triathlons!'

In fact, Jessica is such a fan of working out that she regularly competes in triathlons and fitness competitions alongside her racing driver beau.

The pair have got engaged earlier this year. They first met in a Tokyo bar in 2008 and Jessica initially turned Jenson down when he asked her out because she thought he was a womaniser.

But eight months on she gave in. They split briefly in 2011 but stayed in touch and were soon back together.

Jessica is a regular on the Formula One circuit. On Friday morning she was seen wearing a pair of over-sized, gold-rimmed sunglasses while cheering on her beau.

Wearing a simple, semi-sheer black dress, Jessica could be seen looking important with a VIP lanyard around her neck.

Meanwhile, almost make-up free - except for some eyeliner - she is clearly a natural beauty.

Sporting a flower necklace and a white clutch bag, the 29 year-old also appeared to be the perfect combination of smart/casual.

In a personal picture which was later uploaded to Twitter, the cover star can be seen in flat shoes and sporting a dipped hem.

Also visible in the shots is her impressive engagement ring. Recently, an expert told MailOnline that the pear shaped, five carat diamond ring would be in excess of £250,000.

The news of the impending wedding comes shortly after the sudden death of Jenson's father, John Button, who died in January aged 70.

Jenson recently announced further details of his 2014 Jenson Button Trust Triathlon.

The 2014 Jenson Button Trust Triathlon will be held on July 12th at the fabulous Luton Hoo Estate in Bedfordshire.

The event combines competition with a relaxed family festival atmosphere; with a buzzing event village, post race party with prizes presented by Jenson, live music and barbecue.

Competitors are given the chance to race twice, with the preliminary heat consisting of a 300m lake swim, 9km bike ride and a 2.5km run.

The top performers will then go on to the final (750m swim, 15km bike ride, 5km run), with the runners up entering the 'wooden spoon' race.
