Tomas Rosicky insisted the title race will go to the last day of the season following his spectacular winner after just 72 seconds at Tottenham.

The Arsenal midfielder beat Hugo Lloris with a stunning drive to set up Saturday’s titanic clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Rosicky said: ‘It’s a great race for the fans as well as the players and it will go until the last game of the season.

‘It’s a great result for us. These derby games are always very tough. It means a lot and obviously for our fans as well. I’m delighted with a goal like that and most importantly we won the game.’

Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood claimed the result was ‘papering over the cracks’ for Arsene Wenger’s team as they continued their title charge.

Spurs have lost their last three games — to Chelsea, Benfica and Arsenal — but Sherwood is convinced his team outplayed Arsenal at White Hart Lane.

He said: ‘The result for Arsenal will paper over a lot of cracks. We outplayed them and they’re title contenders.

‘If you give me that between now and the end of the season, we will be where we are meant to be.’

Arsenal responded to their Champions League exit with an accomplished display and Wenger said: ‘It is a huge result. We were under pressure to win.

‘It gets us a bit closer to Chelsea and makes the game next week even more interesting.’

I'm very happy Van Persie is suffering from his usual tooth ache... LooooL! Just like Adebayor, Van Persie had only one good season and suddenly he thinks he is CR7.... He thinks he could beat the world...?

Last season; Arsenals last 10 games - 8 Wins 2 Draws. Replicate that and the title is ours.

Arsenal needs to better that records. They are 4 points and a mammoth of goal difference behind. Winning all the remaining matches is probably the only realistic option.

4 teams fighting for the title and what makes it even more sweet is that the media darlings - Yawnited and the Tiny Tots are no where to be seen!

One game at a time. All the contenders will drop points at some stage thus the PL is wide open. In fact we're in a position to do the double if we keep our heads and focus.

If Man City or Chelsea wins the league, we will be top 4 and have the FA Cup...that is a better season than 18 other teams in the EPL.....

Im not convinced arsenal are in the title race. Look at their fixtures, tough would be an understatement. If they get something against chelsea then they truly are in the title race. But with giroud up front, got no chance of getting anything at chelsea

I think Giroud scored a few more goals than the entire front line of Chelsea combined so whatever happens, Giroud is not the problem.

I have to be honest: Arsenal is not playing its best football and there are definitely cracks but that is because of Spuds...they just keep cracking us up!
