Is Harry looking to head in a solo Direction? After writing a song with John Legend, Mr Styles could be ready to go it alone

They both have a penchant for all things sartorial, plus they also both make music that their fans just can't get enough of.

Now it seems that One Direction's Harry Styles and R&B man John Legend have officially teamed up for some serious musical output together.

The two have reportedly already written a track for US X Factor duo Alex and Sierra and there may be plenty more to come too, according to John.

How the two came to be making beautiful music together can be attributed to John's manager who ran into Harry and knew that was a fan of his artist.

He agreed to set the two up to see if anything musical would sprout between them.

The next thing you know, according to John, 'we got together for a few hours and wrote what I think is a really lovely song'.

And that one song may just be the paving stone not just to more musical output between the two but may also signal that Harry is looking to head off in a solo direction all of his own.

'I'd love to write with him again as he is a very great guy and very talented,' John told The Sun on Sunday. 'He has some really great lyrical ideas and is a very good songwriter.'

While musically he's been putting his fingers in many pies, on the romantic front things have been pretty busy for Harry too.

With their careers keeping them apart, reports surfaced in late February that Harry and Kendall Jenner had amicably parted ways after three months of dating.

However, just days later, on February 27, the couple were spotted together again in New York.

He has since been been linked to The Kills singer Alison Mosshart, while Kendall was spotted going for lunch with a young gentleman in West Hollywood soon after.

At 35, the bottle blonde is 15 years Harry's senior, however he became noted for his love of much older women after he dated X Factor UK host Caroline Flack, then 31, when he was just 17-years-old.

For a success of a band they need breaks and to go off and do their own things, and then get back together. No one wants a one direction overload. Even Mick Jagger has done his own thing, did not mean the Rolling Stones split up.

Whether he's thinking of going solo or not he's obliged to continue as 1/5 of One Direction until 2016 because of the new contract they signed.

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest, the pressure in that band must be insane.
