Pamela Anderson's teenage sons 'give their approval to new stepdad Rick Salomon as they grow distant from father Tommy Lee'

Pamela Anderson's sons are said to be thrilled that they have a new father-figure in their life, after growing distant from their dad, Tommy Lee, according to a new report from RadarOnline.

Brandon, 17, and Dylan, 16, recently returned home from boarding school for a short break and have been spending plenty of quality time with their mother and their new stepdad, Rick Salomon.

On Tuesday, the family were spotted enjoying a night out together at Crossroads Vegan Restaurant in West Hollywood, where an onlooker reveals that Pammy was 'absolutely glowing and was having
a great time with her sons and Rick', adding that there was 'a ton of laughter from their table'.

Upon their divorce in 1998 following a brief three-year marriage, the former Baywatch star more or less raised the couple's two sons as a single parent.

'Pam raised them on her own; Tommy Lee would pop in and out of their lives,' a source tells Radar. 'Pam's greatest accomplishment in her life is those boys. She loves them so much and is truly a
great mom.'

While the 46-year-old actress and her Mötley Crüe drummer ex are said to be 'on fairly good terms' these days, according to the insider, the teenagers don't spend a great deal of time with the 51-year-old when they're in town, though he 'remains a figure in their lives and loves his children'.

'She keeps him updated on how the boys are doing in school and always encourages him to call them at their school,' the source says, adding: '[But] Tommy Lee is often just living in his own rock'n'roll world.'

Rick, meanwhile, has long played a part in the boys' lives.

He famously married their mom in October 2007, before splitting that December, with the pneumatic blonde seeking an annulment on the grounds of fraud in February 2008.

Though their marriage didn't last, the couple remained friends and announced in January this year that they had remarried in secret, having rekindled their romance several months earlier.

'Rick has always been a presence in their life because of his friendship with Pam,' the insider explains. 'She was always extremely careful about the men she would bring around them as they were growing up.

'Pam loves having the boys at home for their short break. It’s given Dylan and Brandon [the opportunity] to spend more time with Rick.'

Hope she's not marrying to find a 'daddy' for her boys. Some of these celebs are getting to old to keep marrying and not realizing what the problem is for past failures. Liz Taylor never did get it right.
