Sunny side up! Glee star Lea Michele brightens up NY subway station in matching bright yellow beanie and purse

She was hard at work, but that didn't stop Lea Michele from adding a little sunshine to the underground set of Glee.

The 27-year-old was spotted filming a scene with Kevin McHale at a New York subway station on Saturday.

To brighten up her all-black winter attire, Lea added a touch of color with an eye-catching yellow beanie and matching purse which she wore over one shoulder.

She was definitely hard to miss as fans of the TV series, also known as Gleeks, gathered around and watched from a close distance.

McHale, who plays wheelchair-bound Artie in the show, wore a bottle green jacket and mustard trousers for the scene with Lea.

The actress arrived at the Big Apple's JFK airport with co-star Chord Overstreet, 25, on Wednesday.

Chord kept his spikey blonde head down as he carried a white duffel bag.

Lea released her debut album Louder on March 4 and according to Billboard, it sold 60,000 units its first week to debut at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.

Some of the songs on the album focus on her late boyfriend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith who died of a drug overdose last year at age 31.

Lea also has her first book - self help guide Brunette Ambition set for release on May 13.

She is set to present an award at the Kids Choice Awards, which airs on Nickelodeon on March 29.

had to be a Cory Monteith sentence/paragraph mention somewhere in there, shame she couldn't have helped when they were together and she knew of his drug addiction but didn't help him, now mentions him every time she has something to plug or sell
