THE BOUNCEBACK is an outrageous comedy about love and revenge in Austin, Texas. Desperate and lonely, Stan learns that his ex, Cathy, will be in Austin for the weekend and hops on a flight to the Lone Star State in hopes of "accidentally" running into her. But, another break-up crisis greets him in Austin between friends, Jeff and Kara, who are hell-bent on keeping Stan and Cathy apart. Cavorting through Austin's honky-tonks, nightclubs and a cut-throat Air Sex competition, all four of them find bouncing back from heartache is unexpectedly complicated.

Why yes, that is Ashley Bell, star of THE LAST EXORCISM I & II, looking all dolled up and not possessed.
Your eyes do not deceive you - that is Zach Cregger, founding member of comedy troupe The Whitest Kids U Know.
Perhaps you didn't recognize her without a fin, but that is Sara Paxton, former mermaid in AQUAMARINE and star of the spooky indie hit THE INNKEEPERS.
Watch out, Michael Stahl-David! There's a monster behind you! Oh, wait, I just recognized you from the JJ Abrams blockbuster CLOVERFIELD. My bad.
He may have looked a little furry last time you saw him in TRUE BLOOD, but that is Marshall Allman, who also starred in PRISON BREAK and the cult indie hit BLUE LIKE JAZZ.
She's not in the trailer, but you will be knocked out by Addison Timlin when you see the movie. And, you'll say, "Isn't that the sly young actress who seduced David Duchovny in CALIFORNICATION?" The answer is "Yup."

What's gonna happen on these Road Shows?
First of all, we'll show the movie in a cool theater and bring along the director and available cast to do a Q & A. Thanks to the movie, you'll finally know what Air Sex is and you will either be eager and/or terrified to attend an official Air Sex competition immediately following the film.
If you're brave and/or drunk enough, you'll have an opportunity to get up on stage and perform your own Air Sex routine to be judged by members of our cast. You might just go home a winner, and you will be showered with official merchandise from the film for your troubles.

One last question. Uh... what is Air Sex?
Yes, it's real. It’s Air Guitar meets karaoke meets mime meets perversion. The idea is you get up on stage and act out a wild sexual scenario to a song of your choice, completely clothed and completely by yourself. Imported from Japan (of course) by the crazy folks at the Alamo Drafthouse Theaters, it’s since become a national phenomenon. It’s also a major plot point in THE BOUNCEBACK, and the routines our characters come up with have to be seen to be believed.

We've had an great run with this movie so far. We were thrilled to premiere it at the SXSW Film Festival in March, in the town where it was born, and it got an incredible response. Big crowds, good reviews, big laughs, even some tears!
It continued to
screen at festivals throughout the Spring and Summer, and met similar enthusiastic responses.

We feel like we have a movie that is uniquely suited to the live experience - watching it with a big crowd, engaging with the cast & crew and then participating and/or witnessing the Air Sex competitions that everyone wants to know more about after seeing the film.
If the campaign is successful, we'll need to book the theaters, find promotional partners, book the Air Sex competition venues, hustle for press, and bring cast & crew & the Air Sex folks on the road. Your donations will show us where the greatest demand is and help us determine where we should go.
We won't be able to go everywhere, but the more money we raise, the more road show dates we can book and the wilder we can make these events.

Yes, it probably is gonna be gross, but that's Air Sex!
We will send you a brief questionnaire so we can design the perfect Air Sex name for you, and we'll ask you whether or not you'd like us to post it publicly. If you don't want us to, we'll just send it back to you in a message. It'll be our little (dirty) secret.

First of all, this campaign has to succeed before we can do any screenings at all! *wink wink nudge nudge*
We don't have specific dates yet for the LA & NYC events but we're aiming to do them in February or March.
As far as cast availability, fortunately for them, our cast is made up of busy actors whose schedules are always in flux, so we can't say for sure who's gonna make it to which event right now. But, both the LA & NYC events would be important for kicking off our Road Show right so we're going to try to get as many of them to both as we can.

The best way to make sure that doesn't happen is to get your friends & neighbors to donate to push your city from a "Contender" to a "Confirmed City." Check the City Vs. City Leaderboard postings in the "Updates" section of our Kickstarter page, which is updated throughout the campaign.
But, if the Road Show ultimately doesn't make it to your town, you'll get tix to one closest to you, and we'll let you know when they're gonna happen as early as possible to make sure you can make arrangements to travel if you want.
If traveling to the Road Show isn't possible, we will "upgrade" you to the $40 HOME SHOW TICKET Perk and you'll get a digital copy of the film to watch at your leisure.
