Benzema says Ronaldo is 'best of all time' as Real keep up title charge... and his girlfriend Irina isn't bad either!

Karim Benzema believes his Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo is the 'best player of all time.'

The France striker said there simply isn't a better player on the planet than the Portuguese superstar, who was once again on target in Real's 1-0 win at Malaga on Saturday.

That result enabled Real to maintain their three-point advantage over Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga as Ronaldo took his season's goal tally to 46 for club and country.

Benzema, meanwhile, has 24 goals in 43 matches this season and he is just delighted to share the stage with the World Player of the Year.

'In my opinion, Cristiano is the best player of all time,' Benzema told AS. 'I get the chance to play alongside the best player in the world, Cristiano.

'I'm so happy to get along well with him.'

They are both part of the feared 'BBC' triumvirate along with Gareth Bale and they will ensure Real are favourites entering next weekend's all-important Clasico with Barcelona.

'In my opinion, Real Madrid is the best club in the world,' Benzema added. 'There's nothing bigger.'

Meanwhile, Ronaldo's girlfriend, the Russian supermodel Irina Shayk, sparkled as she attended the Gala Spa Awards 2014 in Baden Baden, Germany on Saturday night.

The 28-year-old, well known for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, wore a revealing black and white gown.

I think Maradona is the best of all time,but Ronaldo is such a modern phenom with his goals and his all round play,if he has a good world cup he certainly will be up there among the best ever.

What an idiot. Ronaldo isn't even the best Ronaldo! He certainly wasn't the best player to play in the EPL either. He's playing in a soft league now too. There's at least 8 players across the years, who he couldn't lick the boots of. Will never win a World Cup or Euro Winner's medal either.

you dont have a clue about football lad! to say hes playing a soft league is an understatement, La Liga is way ahead of the PL, to go there and consistently score 40+ goals shows his class!! hes been there 5 years! and he scored over 200 goals!! wake up!!!

@Footballmania (just below me) ...You're lying out of your teeth, Benzema never said what you 'quoted'. The original headline on the Goal.com article reads as follows... "Benzema: Ronaldo is the best ever: The France international says his Real Madrid team-mate is the best the sport has ever seen and says they are friends on and off the field". And his exact quote is... "I play with the best player in the world. We get along well on and off the pitch and I learn a lot from him." ...DM got it right, you're just trying to make DM look bad and yourself look good. In simple English...you failed. Nice try though, fella. ;-)

Nope. It was an interview with Telefoot and when they asked him about Ronaldo he answered: "for me he is the best ever...". He has said in the past that Ronaldo Nazario was his favorite player, the one he looked up to growing up but the one he quotes as the best ever is 2014 Ronaldo.
