When it comes to fashion, she usually subscribes to the less is more approach.

But bikini model Bar Refaeli covered up to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Purim on Saturday, although her ensemble was certainly eye-catching.

Dressed in a bright yellow tiger suit, the 28-year-old drew black whiskers on her face and teamed the fun look with a matching Chanel bag.

'Stylish tiger,' she wrote next to the Instagram snap, '#happyPurim.'

Smiling from beneath the hood of the costume, the Israeli beauty wore her long blonde hair loose around her shoulders like a lion's mane.

She took the animal theme right down to her toes, and added a pair of leopard-print slippers to her look.

Bar, who dated Leonardo DiCaprio for four years between 2005 and 2009, seemed to be celebrating Purim in the traditional manner of wearing masks or costumes.

In another, the daredevil rode a jet-pack across sparkling blue water, with the tropical shore in the background.

In a less glamorous snap, she larked about in front of large advertising shot of herself, in which she modelled Carolina Lemke eye wear.

Much in demand by the fashion world, Bar has appeared on the covers of Vogue, Elle and MArie Claire as well as the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

She was so beautiful when she first started dating Leo - she had that golden brown hair, bronzed skin and such an amazing figure! I thought her body back then was so great for the modelling industry because she had TRUE perfect curves. She is still very pretty but I think the light blonde hair washes her out and all the sun has affected her skin. I also think she invested so much time in Leo she didn't take her career seriously enough - she was happy being a swimsuit model dating a movie star - and now there are other girls who've taken her place.
