To L'Wren Scott's 11,000 Instagram followers, the designer lived a glamorous life full of luxury and love.

The 49-year-old, who was found dead at 10am on Monday by an assistant in her Manhattan apartment, regularly posted images that lived up to her rock star royalty image: from flying in private jets to stepping out of her chopper onto the muddy fields of Glastonbury in Chanel flats.

But behind all the exotic vacations and glamor-filled Instagram images with Mick Jagger, her partner of ten years, Scott was facing mounting financial pressure and was $6million in debt.

'I always say luxury is a state of mind,' Scott told The Sunday Times in November last year. 'Because, for me, it really is. It’s legroom, it’s a beautiful view, it’s great food at a great restaurant you’ve discovered because you obsessively read Zagat as I do.'

The six-foot-three-inch former model and stylist, whose Instagram account was disabled on Monday, first showed signs of financial turmoil last month when she axed her London Fashion Week show.

Scott -- who usually showed at New York Fashion Week -- blamed fabrics that arrived too late for samples to be sewn in time for the event. However her company, LS Fashion LTD, had a deficit of $5,899,548 (4,237,164 Euros), with the designer owning creditors $7.641 million (euros 5,488,125).

But just weeks earlier, Scott -- who had always refused financial help from Jagger -- happily posted pictures of her holiday vacation at the Rolling Stone singer's home on the island of Mustique.

And in October 2013, Scott posted a handful of Instagram images from a romantic trip to India that she took with Jagger.

She returned to New York to launch her first capsule collection for Banana Republic in November.

The 50-piece holiday collection ranged in price from $39.50 to $198, a far cry from the Scott's usual four-digit price tags.

A designer can be paid anything from $20,000 to one million dollars for a collaboration with amajor retailer. A fashion source told MailOnline that for her Banana Republic collection, Scott was paid approximately $250,000.

She snapped Jagger dapperly dressed in a scarf, skinny jeans and sneakers as he posed next to a mud-stained Land Rover in the pic, it was the 69-year-old's first Glastonbury Festival with the legendary rockers staging the main act at the annual English music festival.

The pair flew by helicopter, with Scott wearing designer outfits everyday despite the muddy conditions.

First of all this is speculation . That is alot of money to owe when you are doing well. And this is a enermous amount of money to owe anyone . If you did you would be on the street wihtout a home or anything so this is not adding up. As far as her boyfriend helping her .. that is totally unrealistic if this is true and IF she was depressed which she apprently was , that is a disease NO one can stop someone who wants to take their life , she clearly had a plan and it is so sad anyone who chooses to die this way it is sad for the loved ones left and she could have gotten help for her depression..I dont really feel that these moeny issues could be that extreme ..

I've never meet her but I think we all will agree that whenever any human takes their own life, the reality should be that its not a good thing to do. From the young, to the old, beautiful or not so, the good or the bad, its never good to end life this way. My heart goes out to those who loved her. I've lost love this way, and it really really hurts. Pray for their comfort. Have mercy for those who loved her and who still do.

I guess that's why PRIDE is a deadly sin . Of course , I don't know Mick @ all , but I have a feeling ,had he known the depth of her despair, that he would not have hesitated to help her ..
